This PC wasn't for myself. The user only needs it for webmail and other browser stuff, but still insisted on it having Windows and MS office.
It seems to work fine now, but I guess I will see it again soon enough.

I just setup a new laptop. Straight from the store, never been turned on before.
First thing in the Windows installation is a step called "something went wrong". Not even kidding.
MS is slop, with or without AI.
were. They're both dead by now. It's now owned by their children.
I would actually see it as a positive factor. Depends on the people involved of course.
Singles with kids are much better aware of each part needing separate time and having individual obligations, compared to someone who doesn't have kids, who might still be looking to merge into a twosomeness where their relationship is the center of the universe.
I do have kids and am not single, so I guess it's easier to see in hindsight. I guess it could be difficult for a single parent to find a single non-parent who is on the same page in maturity and responsibility.
I don't block much, but one thing I do is to use list view in the apps.
Having ten post on the phone screen at once makes it easier to scroll over the boring ones. I don't understand how anyone can be bothered with the default card views.
Our physical mail has been degraded a lot.
It used to be day to day delivery and cheap. But now, just before the closing, it would have cost me 4 euros to send a postcard to my neighbor, and she wouldn't receive it until next week, maybe longer, maybe not at all. And then as the sender, you should also consider the additional weeks that people might take between checking their mailbox.
No wonder people don't use it. It's straight up unprofessional to communicate by letters here.
I did receive a letter last year, but I actually thought it was weird of them to use physical mail - as if they didn't want me to have the information. If was important, they certainly shouldn't do it like that.
Have seen both. The original is better.
Can they make it stop too? Not taking any chances on this.
Of course a dog should be activated physically and have attention, but it'd also be cruelty to keep it awake and active all day long.
Dogs sleep a lot. They need 12-14 hours every day, and even up to 20 hours for puppies or old dogs.
This fits very well with being left unattended while the kids are at school for instance.
It's better to leave it unattended for one long stretch than several shorter ones daily, because dogs do keep track of time based on routines. Coming in and out several times, or taking the dog along randomly is more stressful for it, because it breaks the routine.
They're very adaptable and teachable, so many things are possible, but it should definitely be taught to chill out by itself, so it's capable of this when you actually need it to be alone for some reason.
If they didn't do it before, now is a good time to do the deed anyway. They'll get blamed either way, so they might as well do it.
