I'd wrap my car with it, but I don't think I could handle the amount of getting pulled over I'd have to put up with

Any chance he's doing this so he has another excuse to try to go after Canada's supply of fresh water?

Additional to burgersc12's comment, I think the app has always been hosted in both locations, but the team has switched hands and the original app developer basically went MIA so the package on Google is stuck in limbo.

Not entirely sure how they'd go about banning it, the official location for it is F-Droid. The one on Google Play is like 500 years out of date.

My guess was that their overall goal was to take the market share and shut down Termux, then cancel their own terminal so they can make Android worse than they already have lol.

Even if this is as good as (or better than) Ubuntu installed in Termux, I'm still not sure I'd trust it as anything more than an attempt at Google trying to hit Termux's user base so it shuts down, then they shut down their terminal too.

I've literally never understood the advertising industry.

Like, a company gives another company money to waste bandwidth... How many people even watch ads? As a kid, that's when you'd leave the TV to get a drink or use the bathroom. As an adult, I run adblockers and haven't see an advertisement in ages - yet these companies are continuing to spend money on this?

What's worse is how they actually think people associate the random shit that plays before/during the content you want to watch to the point that they're forcing creators to dumb down the content. Like, I get it if the platform itself is shit, but come on. If you REALLY want to know what's harming your brand, it wouldn't be the guy saying "shit fuck" 50 times, it would be the fucking advertisement that's breaking the flow and interrupting the guy saying "shit fuck" 50 times. I'd sooner see people avoiding these products specifically because of the negative association.

So much money being withheld from the economy because the government feels that like $250K (if that?) is a perfectly cromulent amount to max out the tax brackets at.

Disgusting to think that somebody making $1,000,000,000 is being taxed the same percentage as somebody making $250,000.

Is this paper legit? Every headline I've seen shared seems to be trying to sow dissent, drawing similar ties to the bullshit we saw in the states that got Trump in...

Wait, I thought The Beaverton was satire...
