I don't understand, it IS literally bad for America. But from your/our perspective who cares? You're gloating, and thats fine, your viewpoint is vindicicated, America just tripped on its own dick. The people will now be 300 billion poorer. So are we wrong to point out that by hoisting our own petard, as a country, we will be bearing a consequence? Or do you simply seek to frame literally anything Americans say, even the conciliatory, even the materially correct analysis, as imperialism?
The Anne Frank quote. Doesn't it disprove the OPs point? If Anne Frank had spent a lot of time writing about her favorite fictional rock orbiting Pluto whose name was Jeremy the Rock, that would be a political topic like all other things in her diary because after she wrote that diary she was checks notes murdered for her ethnicity. The only children's diaries that necessarily aren't political are the ones we never read and the ones not penned by murder victims. Like you bitch about Lemmy culture all you want but you're the one who brought up a murder victim's last words, which are THE symbol of banal hatred of the innocent that people use to teach the tragedy of the Holocaust, BECAUSE what was written there was so completely innocent.
I guess I forgot how much redditors think, but never think about Anne Frank.
I am sorry if the term tulpa was a loaded term, I suspected it might be loaded and only used it for lack of a better term. Thank you for sharing these resources, I'll give them a read.
It sounds like there are some lines that shouldn't be crossing here. I don't know much about the system/alter/DID dynamics (or if those are actually related even) but it sounds like you made a metaphorical tulpa in your friend's head by accident. I don't think this is a healthy group dynamic. You should not be feeding stimulus for a new personality to your friend who is susceptible, that seems dangerous. Or, if its actually fine, maybe talk about boundaries. Did they want to be Egg James Bond? Do they even want to be Trans James Bond? There's a difference between acting and making a character a part of you. It doesn't seem like anyone should have cracked Egg James Bond because as trans people we shouldn't be forcibly doing that to each other. And at no point, if any of this is being taken seriously within your group, should Egg or Trans James' Bond's personal story be for your entertainment. You somewhat created a person or personality and you imbued it with a very turbulent emotional condition that takes years for some to come to grips with. Who knows how that is interacting with the system and its other selves. If this can legitimately happen to people with alters/systems/DID, that strikes me as cruel. You are in a way all responsible for their wellbeing. Your friend should apologize to Trans James Bond and all of you should talk to your friend's other selves and apologize.
Edit: Also there is no excuse for misogyny at the table. The line for roleplaying a misogynist is thin and has already been crossed.
It's a rhetorical tactic to draw attention to the juxtaposition between the lives of poor people who don't know French words and the rich they all but worship, can people stop denigrating it as a term? It goddamn works in an argument. You can tell someone their worldview was given to them by the Epstein class. You can tell people Steve Banon and Jeff Epstein, members of the Epstein class, conspired to psyop them toward being antifeminist. You can say the Epstein class directly controls the White House because there are literal video evidence of the AG facing away from rape victims as she covers for the rapists by seguing to the supposed health of the economy.
Thanks!
What game?
Count me as someone else who strongly, strongly identifies with what you're going through, particularly with executive dysfunction and the feeling of keeping on until you know you can't keep on.
You're not alone. I'll say that if I had known at 18 I was trans I'd be in a far better place than I am now. I am obliged to recommend AskTransgender@lemmy.blahaj.zone, which I am an ancillary moderator of. You are always welcome!
Don't give up. It is scary now, actually, no, its shatteringly awful, but you are still here. What has been discovered cannot be taken from you, it is a part of you now. That small part of your identity loves and nurtures the rest of your whole soul. I hope this reads as more than simply platitudinous.
In Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" the inciting incident is a fly getting caught in a typewriter as a drone types an arrest order for a political dissident, leading the police to raid the wrong house and kill an innocent man. Crazy shit.
I suppose the problem is I get badjacketed very often on Lemmy for takes like "not everyone in America (including the people in detention camps) deserves to die because some people made bad choices" and "war crimes are bad no matter who is doing them", yet I am rarely interacting with libs or fascists, so if they're out here bitching that America's dick got stepped on too hard they are just not on my feed. I dunno why you would go to Lemmy and choose to interact with those people. Some of these posts seem designed to start fights with invisible people. Everyone should know about blocking users and defederating intolerable instances.
Honestly, it sounds like you're talking to Americans who don't realize we haven't won a war since World War II. Since that isn't that obscure a fact to anyone who studied any history, you're wasting your time talking to them.
