Perhaps this will finally make them wake up

Unfortunately it didn't. Conservatives were immediately telling each other that "it wasn't that bad and tHe RaDiCaL lEfT were just taking it out of context." But as is often the case, the context does not make it any better.

Speaking to RTÉ, Fianna Fáil TD Jim O'Callaghan expressed his condolences to the family of the two men. He said what happens next will depend on the outcome of the Garda (Irish police) investigation.

Based on the article you posted, it sounds like they haven't determined whether the deaths are suspicious or not.

There are California taxpayers and American taxpayers who are being defrauded because California isn’t taking its program seriously

I'm going to go ahead and stamp a big ol' [citation needed] on that claim. What does "California isn't taking its program seriously" even mean? I get that it's deliberately nebulous, but I'm just so tired of the constant stream of baseless claims from these ghouls. If they had any evidence they'd be parading it around on Fox News, but they don't. They never do.

The RNC has not named the 17 states, but Gruters described the deployment as part of a broader strategy to maintain Republican control of Congress after 2026.

“If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.”

Geothermal has support across the political spectrum because it can produce electricity without any planet-warming emissions while operating 24 hours a day, unlike wind and solar projects.

Has the New York Times ever resisted the urge to spread Republican talking points about wind and solar power? Call me crazy, but I think we should be pursuing all clean energy options, not just the ones Republicans aren’t throwing a hissy fit over... yet.

MAGA was singing a different tune when Trump bragged about violating the Logan Act when he met with Viktor Orbán in 2024.

Well, we had the chance to save our democracy, and we blew it because of eggs. Say, how's that affordability crisis looking nowadays?

The man doesn't even know how to hold a book correctly, and there's plenty of evidence to suggest he may actually be functionally illiterate. I highly doubt he's read a single verse of the bible.

Yep, soon enough we'll all be just as fucked as Texans during a cold snap.

Orgy - Blue Monday

Hell yeah, I loved Orgy. Still do, but I used to too. That cover of Blue Monday got heavy rotation in middle school. Their first two albums, 'Candyass' and 'Vapor Transmission' still hold up. At least much better than some of the rubbish that got lumped into nü metal by proximity back then.

It may be a trite answer for this question, but I still gotta go with Gary Jules' cover of Mad World by Tears for Fears from the Donnie Darko soundtrack. I appreciate both versions, but the cover is truly haunting. I also heard that version first, and I was at the right age when Donnie Darko came out for it to make a lasting impression on me.
