Exactly, who cares? It will come up in general conversation if we know each other long enough, if we don’t then it doesn’t matter.

People get too hung up on pigeon holing people as soon as they meet them.

Everything is apparently a “fast paced, high pressure environment”.

If every job is high pressure, fast paced and requires a high level of independence then no job does.

They are just jobs, it’s rare that any are that deep.

I use it in a heterosexual relationship because it sounds weird to call my partner of 20 years my girlfriend when we are both 40. We just aren’t married, so if I said wife people would question why I don’t wear a ring.

Though if people thought I was gay, who gives a fuck? It’s current year after all.

I usually hate the removal of fun from public spaces, however not having a horrifically unhealthy place designed to attract children is probably a good thing.

Thanks, it’s good to hear from the other side, I hope it is as you say and it keeps working out for you.

I’m luck to have good people with me and some savings behind me so it’s just a case of keeping my head up and keeping on.

I worked in planning, I won’t say for who as I can’t other than to new employers based on the package I got.

It’s a field very close to being replaced by AI, if it gets to a point where it understands employees propensity to work different patterns and times then it will just replace people.

Hence I’m looking to now change careers before that happens, but starting again after more than 15 years is harder than I thought and I thought it would be hard.

As somebody who got made redundant last week and is facing the shit heap of a job market right now.

Yes, be thankful if you have a job.

I agree, that’s what I mean by it just going mask off, there’s no pretending about a probable cause of higher moral path etc this time.

I’m starting to think the same thing, if you go over US foreign policy since WW2 it is almost like the mask is just coming off entirely now.

It was a thing for most of the world, I just don’t believe it really caught on in the US, it was called teletext and was really widely used.

I can’t say I love the terminal, if there’s a GUI for a task I’ll use that but there comes a time in every troubleshooting session where the terminal is just the only way to do something reliably.

I’m not going to lie though, I forget commands constantly so have to search the most basic shit to type in.
