The eduard kit is very good and the detail on it is amazing, fit was excelent except for the top and bottom engine cover which produced quite an ugly seam line but pretty easy to solve with some putty or superglue. And yeah tamiya paint works a lot better through an airbrush, I often thin it with isopropyl alcohol since it's an alcohol based paint. But trying to get it right with a brush is a pain. Personally gave up on trying that after a while and started using either aqueous mr hobby, vallejo or ammo mig for brush painting, depending on what I can get my hands on. The first one of those 3 also thinned with isopropyl and the latter 2 with vallejo's thinner or airbrush flow improver (even for brush painting).

Came out looking nice! Recently built an eduard one but will probably pick up this kit in the near future to compare it to.

Which paint did you use, since you had some issues with the texture?

Saw this little guy sunbathing on the back of my bike when I got back from getting groceries. Probably liked the bags since they were quite warm from being in the sun.

He was very unperturbed when I walked up to him, pretty much giving me a look of "Do you mind? I'm enjoying myself here". Only moved when I unlocked my bike.

The kit was quite good with some minor fitting issues (mostly my own fault) and it has fantastic decals.

The one big problem with the kit was the canopy glass which I had some major problems with fitting on there. Had to use superglue in the end.

Despite that would definitely recommend if you can find the kit!
