A philosophical reflection: why are so many entrepreneurs obsessed with expansionism? Does it have to do with ego, with power, with greed and “always more”?
What is wrong with the local market? Expansion at home, neighboring countries or - by extension - Europe. Surely that should be enough? Just making good money that you yourself and your group of workers can live a good life. Should that really be so much more? Or am I naive and still believe in fairy tales?
Buy from Europe. Maybe we finaly are starting to understand the power of local businesses.
Just be aware that there are many haters here too. A few days ago I posted a positive message about the EU and.... oh my God... what a wave of negativity and hate I get. It was just like we - in the EU - are now living under the authoritarian regime of the EU. My reaction was.... I'm out of here, so I'm not in that community anymore. I hoped that Lemmy was a more "positive" community, but that seems to be a naive world view. There will always be haters and they are everywhere.
