It's about the level of processing / how it's done. If the company is doing what you can do at home, like preserving beans through pressure canning, it's not really an issue. More processed beans, beans in tomato/molasses take more processing and additives.

Look at the ingredients. If it's beans in water it wouldnt be considered ultra processed.
