The whole 88 thing is not generally know except probably in Germany and the US.

He is an idiot yes, but the internet is also making it seem like if you agree with one statement you agree with all statements of that person/party which is just wrong.

Always use your own domain on Proton and others. The laws in Germany aren’t as friendly as the one in Swiss so that can be causing issues as well.

And considering a lot of people on the internet make comments without being fully informed, the backlash is probably huge.

Hate is spreading a lot quicker than the truth.

However, the original Twitter post and their doubling down are just stupid responses and they shouldn’t have made them.

The CEO agreed with one statement from Trump (which is often misquated as well) and doubled down on it and is generally an idiot.

But that doesn’t mean they support Trump (or Musk). I know the US politics has been changing and removing the ability to look for compromises, but in the rest of the democtatic world agreeing with one statement from a person or party doesn’t mean you agree with their entire political agenda.

Only use Proton with your own domain so you can switch, but there aren’t that many other good options and none of them offer the same protection the Swiss law does.

To add, it’s a CEO with a lot less power than a normal CEO because of the Porton Foundation that’s above it. Some countries (like Swiss) also have more rules and regulations in place to keep people to help consumers

He didn’t even endorse Trump, he agreed with one statement. (And doubled down on that and is really an idiot)

What Swiss activist?

There are a lot of people misquoting the made comments from Proton. They are just really stupid for making comments like this.

If you use their services, use it with your own domain

The main issue with Excel is that it is not multithreading in all operations. But for a lot of things it is the only software that can fit the bill.

Libre office feels a lot worse in to work in up to 8 hours a day compared to Excel and it is probably still missing some features like powerquery among others. I do need to test it again, it has been a while.

Then again I work as accountant so I am probably in minority of Excel users.

or Google, but they are working together on their own search engine from what I heard

What legislation would do that? Would they want access to your messages or something?

Been there done that

And the worst part is? My job description doesn’t even include phone support. I am just the guy who is handy with computers! (I do get compensation for it, don’t you worry)
