Too much optimism and hype may lead to the premature use of technologies that are not ready for prime time.

I think the closest thing Elon is to Star Trek would be a Romulan/Ferengi hybrid wannabe. Dreaming of having a star ship to manipulate, conquer and extort the galaxy.
Understood and have seen the comments. I don’t blame you for being upset. It’s a crappy situation.
Damnit! I still like and respect the Ars Technica staff but Condé Nast can piss off.
I feel for you KingThrillgore. I was thinking of supporting the site with a subscription but not after this. Still if enough people stop subscribing we may loose them altogether. This is a double edged shit sword.

This is atrocious. Coincidentally Disney is planing to open a park themed with villains. Seems like they can save time and money by renaming the whole place Villain's World.
I've been a few times in my younger years but have zero desire as an adult. Sure they have some nice rides and attractions but the Disney culture is a huge turnoff to me, as are the very high prices of everything there. If I were to take a vacation that costs similar I'm off to a national park or maybe international travel. I prefer real culture over fantasy land.
The Lounge is where you were given access. That subreddit was ok on its own but really it was a good place to hang out, be friendly and helpful which sometimes resulted in being invited to other private sections of Reddit.
Some of those private subs have a true sense of community who are truly kind, respect each other and fun to interact with. Before the awards went away there were many games with prizes and multi-day parties with lots of engagement and fun. Not anything like the regular Reddit.
Those places still exist but activity has declined since most third party apps and the awards/coin system were taken away. That decision not only damaged the public Reddit subs but also the private ones.

Tuvix was an accident that if left alone would have ended two lives.
Tuvok has a wife and children that he wants to get home to but staying as is would have ended all he had. Neelix would have never joined the other Talaxians, saved them and found love and family.
I think Janeway made the right choice. Maybe it wasn’t directed with enough care but I always thought it was the correct choice.
