Turns out I just didn't have the right firmware for my setup. I am running emulators from batocera Linux and I needed 18.1.0. All works fine now π

I use tor and I haven't found it to be annoyingly slow. It's not fast but you can manage with it for most things
Would a sandboxed VM work for league of legends? Its the one game I occasionally play with friends that I haven't been able to since moving to Linux. Not that I miss it much, just don't want to be left out π₯Ί

Joining in on the love for material files. I've been using it a long time. The more I've got into FOSS apps I've come to realise that they are feature rich, lightweight and ad free. Its the difference between using something designed to be a good product vs something that is designed to squeeze as much out of you as possible

Crazy I'd be interested to know why they did that π. I try to stick to second hand parts to keep the costs down but my only option is eBay really as there don't seem to be many places that sell used PC parts round here
Yeah good point, would be pretty cramped in there. Saying that, sffs have basically no ventilation and they seem to manage π if I had the money I would be attempting so many PC builds just for the fun of it.
