Only just now noticed that Schneider wore a shirt with his own face on it.

Also, WDR were apparently pretty prolific in regard to psychedelic krautrock: later the same year they recorded a more-electronic ten-minute performance of 'Ruckzuck' by proper Kraftwerk, with similarly annoying frequent camera cuts and lots of crowd shots.

The band was active in 1969–1970 and released the album ‘Tone Float’, co-produced by Conny Plank — later the producer of Kraftwerk, Neu!, other krautrock bands, D.A.F., and a bunch of popular new-wave artists like Eurythmics and Ultravox.

That's called Chippendales.

The man's coat is some variation of the traditional go-to celebratory attire of Georgia and other Caucasian cultures. Originally also used as a military garb, afaik, if not an everyday dress even. It's called chokha or cherkeska.

I'm a big fan of the OG games, namely the second one: I even had the rare PC edition. But the characters and stories always felt like thought up by a thirteen-year-old boy who's bored in class.

Yeah, all USian home-improvement stores block access to their sites from outside the US. It's a bit weird.

Found the one nut who watched the ‘Twisted Metal’ TV series.

This is the album where Mamaleek perhaps first came into their own, departing from the jazzy-raw-black-metal roots into a wild mix of said black metal with trip-hop rhythms — wholly unexpected for their origins, but not the last madcap change they would do throughout their career.

Check this out, though. The author commented that he bought all the stuff for cheap from ebay and such.

Follow-up to yesterday's post.

Good bassy speakers or headphones are recommended with both posts. Wobble's bass is nowhere near mid-range.

If you look into ergonomic keyboards, vast majority of mechanical keyboards look like trash afterwards.

You start at the beginning. The original series and ‘The Next Generation’ should keep you occupied for a while. The movies are mostly bleh, maybe choose by RottenTomatoes. ‘Deep Space Nine’ and ‘Voyager’ seem to be alright, haven't watched them myself.

Also, watching ‘Red Dwarf’ after ‘TNG’ works splendidly.

The album was recorded during Björk's time in The Sugarcubes. Six or seven of the original fourteen songs are jazz standards, but sung in Icelandic; plus the two live bonus tracks at the end are straightforward covers in English.

Björk and the band also looked pretty lively:

Fun fact: even though Manu Chao sings predominantly in Spanish and plays Latin-style music, he was born and (afaik) lived most of his life in Paris.

Also, I'm not versed in Spanish/Latin-American music genres, so idk what this music is exactly. I'd guess that it's influenced by contemporary French music, too.
