I have no illusion that that has happened in the slightest. These people are pathological liars, with insides deader than a graveyard. Stop being so willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, they squandered that right long ago.

Never knew his name, but I remember that ghoulish face from a Jon Stewart Daily Show bit, which mentioned he served as a token "Democrat" talking head on Fox News.

All the usual oligarchs and a token celebrity.
Anyone believing that they would be scooped up by the rapture and not others are pathological narcissists.
It was pretty obvious even back then. Their ideology was always fascist, and it was always a given that they would support an oppressive government as long as it was fascist.
I would argue it comes in at a close second after the invention of antibiotics and modern medical science in general.
Piefed was fine as well.
Not to mention in the sequel when they revealed who your big nemesis was, and I'm like "who are you?". It was a good idea, but a faulty implementation.
