Protesting doesnt help. Not even against laws. Protesting is just a hope that some rich or ruling entity has empathy. But many many companies in European and US countries support this entirely. Just because of profits and cooperation. Microsoft is one of the big dealers where I whised earlier a death.
Its also hard to argue with people that support it, because they use lots of manipulating sentences, that make the viewpoint look goodish but its content is entirely unrelated.

Its always something different and I am unsure if its a me issue. It rarely worked but sometimes it did.
As soon as you change something on your Ubuntu by a little or lot, the upgrade is not possible. I feel forced to use rolling release because of my behaviour
