The first one was 2 weeks outside of warranty, the second one we're currently waiting on the manufacturer and their mechanic. It's a whole thing but it's looking like it might be a refund at this point since it's taking so long for them to even come look at it.

The first one wasn't repaired because the part was back-ordered and by the time we repaired it it wouldve ended up costing the same as a new one.

Anything that's sold in Canada? I'm in the market for a new washer after my last two died on the 2 year mark.

This one hasn't flowered yet but the flowers are super cool looking! it did put out a peduncle but it's right on top of the soil so the buds blasted off before blooming

I just adore this plant

Lol I'm glad you found them because I did not know what they were called. I picked em up from my local nursery, they're pretty sturdy and were under $10 CAD

I think this is a pretty neat idea! For some smaller pots I use a tray filled with water (linked below) for them to butt-chug and then I move them to an empty tray to dry before putting them back in their place

4" plant pot to help with scale.

I've seen others use their bathtub but I like the idea of not risking dirt/perlite/etc. clogging up the drains. Depending on your drain you could use a metal debris catcher thingy like I have in my laundry room sink (I found mine at the dollar store):

Thought you all might appreciate a follow-up now that a bunch of leaves have come in. Here's hoping they remain for at least 6 months, that last dormancy took forever!

I wish our government would regulate this shit. Airlines shouldn't be able to nickle and dime like this. Prices just keep going up 😒

The leaves are definitely the show-stopper, but the flowers are pretty too :)

Not much point in running from it, you're already getting wet if you're caught out in it 🤷‍♀️. I'll run if I hear thunder though, don't want to get electrocuted.

The plant is a Dioscorea elephantipes. Been raising this cute little one since he was a seed in July 2023 :)

The lithops? I like them! I have a couple that are mostly green but they're pretty low maintenance

Also you guys need to start posting more! It's starting to feel like a one woman show around here lol

My friend and I like to swap cuttings, I made out like a bandit this time :P

I only had about 5 cuttings for her this time, going to have to step up my game! (I'm running out of plants she doesn't already have 😰)

It's in a 2" pot for reference. Super cute and compact :)

After treating for spider mites when I first got it (May of this year) the leaves weren't doing so hot. The new leaf is beautiful though!

Also already has a baby that popped up last month :)

Thought you might all enjoy this curious little cardinal checking out the security camera :)

She started as such a little pup and now her leaves are bigger than my hand

I got her about 2 years ago.
