Why YSK: Youtube's enshittification creates an abysmal experience. There's a list of Chrome extensions I've collected over the years that each fix an aspect of Youtube to bring back a genuine experience. I've seen in comments people mention one or two of these at a time, so this is a pack that contains everything you could need, and more.

Sample:

Essential Plugins:

  • Ghostery: Blocks trackers and ads
  • uBlock Origin: Blocks In-video ads
  • SponsorBlock: Skips in-video sponsor segments
  • Return Youtube Dislike: Returns the dislike button
  • DeArrow: Better titles and thumbnails, removes clickbait
  • Youtube Redux: Returns youtube to the older style
  • Style Bot: This tool allows you to edit CSS. With a bit of setup, you can use it to block sponsored videos from appearing in our video suggestions:
  1. Open Stylebot options
  2. Styles > New Style

URL: Youtube.com

CSS (copy and paste):

ytd-ad-slot-renderer,
ytd-rich-item-renderer:has(
  > #content
    > ytd-ad-slot-renderer
){
  display: none;
}
  1. Save Style and Refresh Youtube

I'm not OP, and I'm not an artistic person, but at one of my lowest points, I found pleasure in learning graffiti. The culture, the do's and don'ts, because I also wanted an outlet, and I've always colored between the lines. I wanted a voice, to be heard, and to say "I AM HERE" at the same time.

I'm a nobody in the graffiti world, but its a hobby anyone can do (but should not do).

Graffiti has a lot of meanings. When a spot gets covered by layers of graffiti, it's a message to the local government saying "do something about it" such as abandoned vehicles or neglected buildings. Graffiti can bring attention in a good (artistic) or bad (challenging authority) way.

And sometimes, it just means "look what I can do"

Giles Corey was killed by the mafia

He was also stabbed by a serial killer

He was also incinerated by an arsonist

He was also shot by a vigilante

He did not have a will

Didn't know that there were other options besides straight, gay, and bi. When I didn't fall cleanly in one of those, I considered what other options were there. I was always unsure, but i went in a wrong direction full of guilt and depression, thinking if im not those, the only other option is...the worst. We don't know what we don't know.

I never met an asexual, or a demisexual, or any other sexuality, up to this point. I may have heard the term asexual, but it was never described to me in a way that I could relate. It wasn't until after RE-WATCHING Bojack Horseman that I actually did thorough research on the topic, and all the stars aligned. The first time watching, it just didn't click, I knew there was an asexual character, but I didn't connect that i could be asexual.

I went 25 years not knowing I could be asexual. I'm 30 now. I only wish there was more representation as I grew up, but once I found out, I became the change I wanted to see, and started expressing it in my clothing, sharing with others, and helping clear up confusion.

Or you're like me and think you're a pedophile because you don't like men or women sexually. I'm just asexual. Thanks therapy!

We operate our body with a single processor, the brain. Our organs are also managed by the brain. The brain is highly optimized to operate each of our organs, control motor functions, and allow us to think.

1 brain cannot control 2 bodies, there's simply too much going on. Likewise, 2 full brains cannot control the same body, they would fight for resources. Organs keep the brain alive, the brain keeps organs alive. It's a 1:1 ratio, sometimes less than 1, but never double (some have been born with extra controllable appendages but it's few and far between).

Therefore, only a higher, more generalized, processor could handle operating 2 or more distinct beings.

If only our cells could talk.

  • Going to work
  • Paying off loans
  • Finishing a project
  • Mastering a hobby

It's all just...never-ending. I can't do it all...or really any of it. The rest of my life looks like a never-ending stagnant grind right now. I've really tried to finish anything, but when the timeline is years?! How do I even do this when I've only got like...50 years left? And MOST of that time is grinding a job?

"Start now" I hear you all say. I've done that. Everything is indefinitely unfinished. I don't have the time to commit to it, for another hobby or interest is more engaging.

Hello AGM!

My players have not encountered each other, but are engaged in their own individual plots. At some point, I'd like them to be a part of the same colony, without forcing it (IE get them to becoming a "party" and working together).

I think I've hit a point where each group needs something from the other:

  • Group 1 has safety and weapons, but no food
  • Group 2 has safety and food, but no weapons
  • Group 3 has food and weapons, but no safety

This setup was entirely on accident, but I think it will lead to them all running into each other for different reasons.

At this point, should I just airdrop hints that the other group(s) have what they need? Or how can I get to the end goal of unification?

The Zombie TTRPG is a homebrew that I made, rules are here:

If you need any additional info, ask away.

Is it kinda just common for games to crash to "desktop" on Deck? Had mine about 2 weeks, no matter if it's big, small, or dolphin emulated, games will randomly crash on me, and the Deck restarts itself.

If there's any known general settings that can stop the crashing, that'd be great.

Details:

  • Bi-weekly Wednesdays 6 PM PST
  • Ongoing game
  • Zombies homebrew
  • Discord for VC
  • Roll20 for Tabetop
  • 50/50 RP and Combat

As of this post:

  • 2 other players + 1 GMPC
  • Looking for 1-2 more players
  • This invitation is open indefinitely

Hello! I wrote Day Zero, a zombies TTRPG, which is in its first full campaign! Its aim is to be fun and simple while allowing skill and strategy. The campaign starts the day before a zombie apocalypse, and continues indefinitely (or until the GM determines an ending).

The Gameplay is based on zombie media like Walking Dead, Left 4 Dead, etc. The zombies are Romero's zombies. The characters know what zombies are (they watch movies) and are allowed to know how to kill them.

You will be joining after the apocalypse has started, but as of this post, we are just getting to the second day of the outbreak.

For your first session, I'll ask you to describe a typical day for your character, before the outbreak, to create a visual of their everyday life. Then you will be introduced into the world post-apocalypse, having endured similar challenges and struggles as the remaining survivors. Somehow, you survived this long.

The rules are here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RA-EjXm6qTo3BljSlnrYvqKnGVrDAJuI6epC7aassP4/edit?usp=sharing

If you are interested after having read the rules, send me a private message on Discord at "aerotactics" with the topic "Interested in Day Zero" or something similar.
