Killing Kingpin would be a huge mistake. Villains should stick around (generally). I'm fine if someone wants to step up and eliminate Fisk, but keep him around.
But really I want to see Kingpin win, and keep winning. When Kingpin showed up in Hawkeye, Hawkeye says that's the guy he's worried about... And he basically just loses.
As Mayor he's rising up. He's just won back Vanessa. His Taskforce are free to do whatever they want. Now he needs to win something else. He needs to just dominate. Others can try to take him down, maybe some are even successful, but he always needs the ability to come back.

Sliders was excellent 90s TV and I would love to see it come back. I think TV shifted away from what this show was.
When you look at something like Star Trek and compare the original and 90s versions to things like Star Trek Discovery or Picard, sure it's still "Star Trek", but it's very different. Luckily Strange New Worlds has the classic feel to it.
Which is to say I don't think there is currently a "Sliders" type show. If you reboot it make sure to keep the original vibe.
