Agree with what you say, was just pointing out that the 6 million payment gives US courts a little more leverage over holding Trump to bring them back. Assuming the SC doesn’t just punt it anyways.

The US is paying them to house those prisoners though, which makes it harder to pass the buck onto Bukele. Not to say they won’t try that argument, but this isn’t just a situation of us dropping him off and saying bye.

Two of those (Heard and Mcdonald islands) on the list are uninhabited. Wild indeed.

It’s how Elon has been able to get away with these so far. He touts them like a lottery to get the rubes to vote how he wants, but the money was never part of an illegal raffle. Definitely fraud though, but we’ll see.

Yeah, I remember when this originally went down seeing something about how if they used that write-off it meant that the film could never be distributed afterwards. The way things are now I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold it and kept the write-off anyways since that was a different fiscal year.

13% of the budget goes to the military? In the US? And medical expenditure is the driver of the government budget? Please take me to your timeline. Cause that isn’t this one.

Oh cool, never knew they had found a different formulation.

Isn’t thermal paper like pure cancer though? Pretty cool outside of that haha.

As a big Umphrees McGee fan, who had previously blocked and forgot about UniversalMonk, seeing a bunch of posts talking smack about UM really threw me for a loop when it got real bad haha.

”I think that you'd be a lot better having coming under the United States Security umbrella than you have been under the Denmark security umbrella," he said during remarks at Pituffik Space Base

I’m pretty sure after the end of ww2 the only war Denmark has been a part of outside of UN/Nato responsibilities was the Whiskey war, which was cheeky and fun. Unlike America, which for is basically in a forever war with (today’s villain of the week). Not sure I’d call that safer.

He also does not care.

I have always just assumed that literally every post on that instance is is coming from Alice, whether as themselves or as a couple different alts. And all of them belong to exploding heads or whatever they were called back in the day. Kinda surprised everyone still federates with hc if I’m being honest. Just trash posts or blatant misinformation.

Does this book ever pick up? I’m about a quarter of the way in and so far ‘The Adventures of Mary Sue As She Looks For A Date’ is just not doing anything for me. I remember tears ago hearing of it and thought it’s political world building, but so far it seems to be nothing more than ‘theater kids rule the world but- no touching.’ It seems like it wants to dive into the politics, but then again very other page it derails itself itself with ‘those damn eyes.’

Idk, I guess I’ve probably already made up my mind, but would be interested to know if it ever gets out of its own way.

Saw two shooting stars pop up while watching the comet last night, one of them showed up in the exposure I was taking at the time.

Was surprised to be able to see it this far south, in canyon of the ancients so super remote.

Taken on a Canon R8 24mm wide lens, iso 1600, 15 second exposure, f5.0; no post processing.
