I just got my only reddit account deleted with no warning a few hrs ago. No email about it, nothing. It was a 3 yr old account with lots of good karma. I never engaged in any discussions that led to downvoting, never called anyone names, etc. I'm too lazy to fight it tho - figure if they don't want me on their site I don't need to be there.
Yeah, I'm on SSD and don't even make enough to pay taxes to begin with, nor can I drive. If I have to shop around for insurance to replace Medicaid I'll just get denied for pre-existing conditions

The original agreement was that I'd get at least 40 hrs/wk instead of 20 (bc they'd hire another employee to avoid paying overtime) and then after a year I could get overtime. I genuinely loved that job and all the customers thought I was the owner. They just refused to come back after I quit so the shop failed. I got my regular wage for anything over 40 hrs, just no overtime, so it was still better than salary ig.
Focus the capital on research that's already going into creating matter assemblers. They use light to form matter. This creates food and objects at whatever scale the machines can be created at. No more hunger or digging material out of the Earth bc light is free from the sun. No more shipping costs. Construction happens on the spot. And since the machines can dissolve matter too, there's your recycling and cleaning up the landfills and oceans.
