If you try googling any of this, you will find a shit ton of christian cope

"Cope" is basically the foundation of most religions.

Mostly because 90% of what's in The Bible is gobblederemoved, twisted and contorted by a wide variety of opportunistic con men over the course of thousands of years, written in such a vague way as to easily be interpreted to mean whatever they want it to mean.

Similar to the way Trump speaks in vague generalities and word salad, and people hear whatever they want to hear, which of course leads to massive problems when you're the leader or aspiring leader of the free world.

Coming at him with a personal insult is not the way to go about this.

The correct way is to point out that most Christmas traditions are not rooted in Christianity, but in paganism.

That's the exact opposite of what most people want from an app like this.

Just disable the ads, crypto and telemetry and suddenly none of those things are a problem anymore, just like Firefox.

  • You can't actually own movies anymore unless you buy physical copies (which are subject to damage over time).
  • You're dependent on someone else's servers to stream the movies.
  • The providers can and have removed movies you've paid for.
  • Not dependent on your internet connection, which can be unreliable for many.

I don't understand what you're saying

That's not really a "solution" so much as a "workaround". It's unofficial community-maintained software with complicated installation, limited features, and that the service providers can break at any time. And even if that weren't the case, that's only 2 providers.

If I need to use a web browser, why wouldn't I just skip Kodi altogether and just plug in my laptop?

There's a reason Google TV is an entirely different operating system from Chrome OS.

What about the rest of them?

any solution that'd work on a Linux machine would probably be okay.

I don't think there is a Linux solution. That's the problem.

I mean that's nice but can you run Netflix/Hulu/AppleTV/HBO through that thing? Or can you only play media that you illegally downloaded?

Tried to use OSMAnd last week to navigate around on vacation. For some reason it seems to be incapable of searching for house numbers, which is an instant dealbreaker. I'm very confused as to how or why this is a thing on such a mature product.

I was able to share a location from GMaps WV over to it to get navigation working, and from there the navigation was awesome!

Currently also testing Magic Earth and Organic Maps but I'm very interested to hear from those with more experience.

Mastodon currently comprises about 90% of Fediverse users so I'll have to disagree on that one.

I mean we're still a long long way from reaching mainstream status.
