I don't care what it does, I want it

Love the gear! I see you've got an Orange Super Crush, I bet it sounds massive through those Sunn cabs.

It took me a couple of times to get the template right, mainly on the resolution of the text. The printer has issues with small text, due to the 0.4mm nozzle. The benefit is that you can create raised bridges to keep separate pieces in place, while still being able to spray paint underneath.

I built this Griffin Effects Hand of Doom pedal I got from Musikding. It's based on the Catalinbread Sabbra Cadabra, so a Laney Supergroup preamp with a treble booster in front of it. I love how it turned out.

It was quite a hassle to build, since I was missing one of the pots, and there were some errors in the instructions. It also delayed due to the hot weather. I refuse to solder when it's 40 degrees outside.

The artwork was a bit of experimentation. I 3D printed a template, which I could lock into the holes. The burst on the edges was also a first for me. I'm very happy with how it turned out, and I'll definitely do something similar for any future builds.

Below some more pictures.

Obligatory gut shot. Q1 is in a socket. I have no intention of swapping it out, but who knows.

Freshly painted case.

Wait, it runs on Nextcloud? I need to look into that...

Of course it does.

Yes, but can you imagine putting a tiny joystick on there, which somehow fits inside a clamshell? Maybe if they went for a 4:3 screen, they could use the extra space for something.

I don't need it, I have their full size C64, but I would love to have it, despite the fact that I can play it on the go on a bunch of retro handhelds already. My wallet will probably get over it at some point... It does spark joy...

I'm not a fan of treble bleeds. I use a lot of fuzz pedals and they mess with the vintage fuzzes like fuzz faces and tonebenders. My Fatoumata Diawara SG has treble bleed circuits on its pickups and finding a fuzz that pairs well with it is a pain.

Thanks, it's the sea foam green from Crimson guitars. The body was already heavily grounded, and I wasn't able to sand it all off, which gives it a worn look. It's not what I was going for, but I do love it.

Headstock decal

Wiring

I was very happy with the guitar, but I still wanted to give it some upgrades, next to the visual upgrades, it now also has the Gilmour mod (neck pickup always on) and the fastlane mod (bridge pickup directly to output, overriding the switch and knobs). Both are wired via push-push knobs for easy (dis)engaging. It took a couple of tries before everything worked as expected, but it was definitely worth it. Below the schematics, in case anyone wants to do the same.

Paranoid, the only Ozzy era Black Sabbath record missing in my collection. I promised myself not to buy it online, but it's a challenge to find a good copy.

I was looking for it for a long time, but I was weak and ordered it from Discogs. No regrets.

The .73 nylon Dunlops are perfect for me. Great for riffing and when you bend them a bit between your fingers, they are more stiff for precision work. I played with 1mm tortex picks for years, but I really dislike them these days.

I got a Harley Benton kit for Christmas, which was a perfect excuse to up my skills and build a guitar I'd buy myself.

I wanted to go for a seafoam green stained guitar, but the coat that was on the body already penetrated so deep that I couldn't sand it off without messing up the body. I probably should have started with a layer of white stain as well, since the wood turned out pretty dark. I decided to go with a more worn look (not relic though), and I like how it turned out. I finished it with penetrating finishing oil and Renaissance wax.

With regards to hardware, I put in a brass trem block, vintage saddles, Wilkinson vintage split shaft tuners, roller string trees and The Heritage RPS6 Jimi Hendrix style pickups. I also redid most of the wiring.

When I put the guitar together, the pickup selector had died, so I replaced that with a proper one as well.

The setup took me a while, but is as good as it's gonna get with an action of 1.25 - 1.5 mm and an almost straight neck.

I probably put in two to three times the money that the kit costs, and a lot of hours, but it was was worth it.

My Mooer Preamp Live kicked the bucket, so it was a good excuse to work on an experiment I had been thinking about for a while now. I made a doom metal approved studio setup using only Sonicake pedals. The Rude Mouse is a Rat clone with a clean boost and the Shark emulates a bunch of Marshall preamps.

I still want to put the Hot Tube side of my Hot Wax before the IR loader to get some tube saturation, even though it already sounds heavy.

I've also bought a Joyo Oxford Sound to set up an Orange rig, but I'm still looking for that sweet spot, also with a Big Muff.

I've been on the fence about this pedal for 2 years before I bought it and I regret not getting it sooner. So many great OD sounds, bit also great for pushing my Orange Dark Terror.

Hi there,

I hope someone here can help me with the 404 error I've been getting on Nextcloud for some months now. The error seems to be related to the rich documents app, but I have not encountered any issues with editing documents in NC, so I haven't made investigating a priority earlier. I have nextcloud running in the /nextxloud subdirectory of my server, but the app seems to think that it's in /nextcloud/nextcloud. See the detailed error below. I assume it's a setting that I accidentally messed up, but I cannot find anything in the app settings or the NC config file that helps me. I hope one of the people with more experience than me here has an idea on how to fix this. Thanks in advance.
