Made the mistake of using man and woman instead of top and bottom. See if you had referred instead to sexual preference as opposed to gender role this would be funny and relatable but instead it is cringe and icky. Check yourself liberal.

Yeah very much agree. The Palestine protests, exist in protest to the government's actions. The reason they occur is because our government isn't doing anything. It's important that they keep happening because nothing is being done. There's precedent for broad sanctions to countries that blatantly ignore human rights and international law; here's the ones we gave to Russia:

It's hypocritical not to do the same for Israel.

This meme has shown me the light. I have been revealed truths about God's kingdom and his plan for us. I now know no one will ever be as close to God or as aligned with his vision for man as the hijackers were on 9/11. Dare I say they were the reincarnation of Christ himself.

Much less common now but calling things gay. I find it fascinating watching early 2010's video and hearing people call things gay, I even remember doing it myself lol.

Resolve is a polling agency conducted by the Sydney morning herald. Their polls supposedly ask "questions that differ between print and online versions," as well as "mislead readers" and have "limited utility." They seem to have a habit of asking questions in a way that prompts certain answers and often misrepresented data in their articles. I wouldn't consider them particularly valuable as a source.

I do think that there is a significant portion of the Australian population fed up with the protests. Anecdotally I've heard complaints about specifically the Palestine protests from people I interact with though it mostly amounts to "why are they still doing it and interrupting my day to day, I feel it is pointless and annoying," as opposed to wanting them outright banned.

Give the bank lots of money increases it

Doesn't matter what you make, how interesting it is, what its uses are. What society collectively hyper-focuses on is its impact on the stock exchange.

Like damn this really took 10 months for me to do and now that it's done I feel good.

Stupid ass private education bullshit

Maybe obvious but I just thought to myself "I make this meal all the time and every time I mix together the required amount of spices. Why don't I just make a shit load and then use as much as I need each time?"

Gonna do this from now on its actually gonna save me so much psychic damage from fucking around with powder.

I feel like the people I interact with irl don't even know how to boot from a USB. People here probably know how to do some form of coding or at least navigate a directory through the command line. Stg I would bet money on the average person not even being able to create a Lemmy account without assistance.

Behind the bar I prefer syrup because it's easier and faster to pour. At home though I've noticed it's easier to just put the amount of sugar into the tin rather than batch a bunch of syrup. All of it dissolves in the tin and its not having a noticeable effect on taste.

Mine's that people who insist on correcting others grammar on internet forums are little shits who peaked in grade six as a teacher's pet and get off on exerting their "superiority" on others.

Fuck you "less than" is just better than "fewer then." Think I'm wrong, tell me what these symbols are called "< >" that's what I thought loser.

In the past they would've been old and grumpy and then died before they could cause real problems. Now with old people living longer than ever they can fuck things up for the rest of us.

Rebranding conspiracy theories as conspiracy fantasies as a coping mechanism

A friend of mine told me they bumped into a famous singer. It got me thinking that those people probably aren't famous because they are exceptionally better at singing than other singers compared to say a woodworker who is exceptionally better than other woodworkers. They're famous because music is famous and the woodworker isn't because woodworking isn't famous. It has nothing to do with their relative skill in their profession. That thought actually made me quite happy with the thought that I could've met many people at the apex of their skill and I would just never know.
