Yeah, the sram/shimano duopoly is crazy. Fortunately theres chinese manufactures like ltwoo that make products at reasonable price. What gravel/road bike did you buy at the end ?

Its certain its a good bike, just at a price I dont like. I have a 1.5k ebike with torque sensor, good tires, 2years warranty, built in lights, and made in the EU. Cernainly, it only has a 8 speed dérailleur and no gps/bluetooth, and obv no type-c, but I dont think thats worth 1.5k more. Plus, my bike has a 504wh battery, so longer motor assisted-rides.

Ik, but is this a downhill mountain bike ? It isnt, its a city bike. 3k seems excessive. Plus it has such a small battery.

Nice, but 3k ? Jesus

That not the official OSM app tho? As far as I know, they don't have one&their just a map provider. There then are apps that use their maps..

Thats not an app, is it?

Sometimes when I go cycling I take a buddy or two and we sometimes get split, and i was thinking that having something to tell me how distant we were from each other would be cool. Yeah, there are apps that do that, but they arent foss, they send your location to who knows where, and they massively drain your battery. I saw that there are some varriants of lilygo devices with gps and a screen, but how practical are they really? How fast do they update? How is the battery? Is somewhere using them for a use case similar to this one?
