Ballpark of how much your process cost? I'm seeing two lawyers and now I'm wondering how much convenience I can afford. Nothing wrong with convenience either, I'm just poor.

What does this mean:

If you're a green card holder, do your research. "You have to have a good understanding of what the visa category that you're coming in allows you to do and does not allow you to do," Heubel said.

Once you have a green card what visa categories could you fall into? I thought once you were a permanent resident and could do whatever you want except vote.

Its approach is novel: Most geoengineering research today is led by scientists in the US at universities and federal agencies, and the work they are doing is more or less accessible to public scrutiny. Stardust is at the forefront of an alternative path: One in which private companies drive the development, and perhaps deployment, of technologies that experts say could have profound consequences for the planet.

First, that isn't a novel approach. Second, being accessible to public scrutiny should be a requirement, since the consequences will affect all of us. Third, the people behind this have questionable backgrounds.

That would be 15 hours under ideal sun to get the full 4kW, so it'd likely take 2 days to go from zero to full, perhaps a bit less if you optimized the angle of the panels to the sun.

How long does it take to charge using only its solar?

Is there a reason you don't want to make a penetration through your roof? I make holes in roofs for solar installations and there are reliable ways of flashing whatever is running through the hole.

Ahhaha! The rebellious colony returns to become master of the Commonwealth.

Are the checks really random? If not, what would trigger one?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

True, but I feel like abuse would be fairly obvious and grant panels would know if someone is gaming the system. The panels, at least in my former field, are composed mostly of people who know who's doing what in their field. If they saw a high citation count they would know if that was legitimate. If anything, faking citations would be shameful and embarrassing for most people.
