Games were definitely buggy and I honestly think people forget how much better the quality is nowadays.

I also think there is something to it just being the 90s or so and not having much choice. If you only have one game to play then of course you're going to replay it to death. If I have a steam library of 1000 games then I'm much less likely to.

A lot of this is just nostalgia for the past and the environment as opposed to games being any better.

So many dumb Americans here not voting. Cutting off your legs so you can hold the moral high ground. Moronic.

Lol ok.

This is getting to Y2K hype levels, and in a similar fashion, will not do anything.

I get Linux people like to fanboy/shit over Windows but surely you're tech literate enough to realize this is making a mountain from a molehill.

OP doesn't understand the difference between piracy and drm-free.

But hey, looks like the advertising is working on you to promote GOG so good on them for a successful tweet.

? Bill Gates seems to be doing a good job and contributing pretty significantly to doing good.

If you make broad statements about every person in a category it hurts rather than helps your cause.

Edit: I've replied to many people below but noone has ready provided any strong counter arguments but keep downvoting. Not sure why, as again - everyone is just circlejerking themselves that billionaires are bad and should be killed without actually trying to have a decent discussion on the whole thing. At this point I assume people are just trolling as it seems unlikely so many people are unable to think it through logically.

Sorry, here you go since you missed the comment seemingly.

"It will never happen. Biden is owned by the same people as Trump. There's only one party, the party of the Oligarchs."

Did you even read what OP said lol? It's right in front of you, the first sentences. If I'm being dishonest then you are on another level of insane/lying.

Let me explain it to you since you don't seem to understand.

OP makes a statement that all democrats and republicans act the same and are equal.

I say no, that's not right.

Other poster says well if you look at this one example, they voted together!

I said looking at one example isn't reflective of the whole picture. That I can just pick another example that shows they don't vote together. You need to look at it overall instead of cherypicking facts that suit you.

Do you understand the logic there and why what you wrote makes no sense?

I can make it simpler perhaps if you need it.

Wow. Thanks for cherry picking one thing out of hundreds to show your point! That's a solid way of arguing.

Would you like me to cherry pick an example of one which disproves you? Or would you like to examine the evidence as a whole and actually properly examine it?

This sounds a lot like the one party "they're all the same" bullshit that right wingers like to propogate.

Because make no mistake, one party is at least trying to push laws through that help (democrats), versus the other which just openly fucks people and doesn't give a shit about helping out.

Why is it cutting corners though?

Ideally you'd have the option for both a central stand and the two sides in the one box, but then that's being wasteful and bad for the environment.

There really isn't a good option here. In that case I'd say it's on the consumer to figure out beforehand what the stand is and decide whether they like it or not, not on the company to magically know what stand the consumer needs.

Many companies do shitty things but this stand issue really is a non-issue.

Well I guess they just so it to annoy people then. There's no other reasons why they'd do this right?

I looked up the shittiest TV brand available at my local electronics store and yeah, they do list the width with and without stands.

And if you plan on putting your TV on a table that is way too small, then I'd double check where the stands sit exactly, because it's not a design problem but a you problem.

People need to stop blaming their shitty planning on "bad design". It's the most common sense design that will work in most cases.

Next you'll have the guy who puts their TV on two separate chairs complain about the bad design of TV's that only have a single stand in the middle ffs.
