This thread peaked my interest, I should go back to tinkering. Linux on arm is a thing now.. Tbh I stopped using it as a daily driver because 1. htc stopped maintaining the android build, and the phone was so niche, cyanogenmod android also stopped building for it. I’d rather have a full keyboard in a niche, ancient brick, than 5g I would reckon. I hope you find sth. on your search!

I still use my htc desire Z for my parents home automation, it’s running cyanogen mod and does not have 5g sadly :/
Have you played e.g. marathon 2? Since you haven bought it, I can assume you haven’t played Marathon, so it’s a bit weird you are so opinionated on it? Is it because you are a D2 player? Because i am playing that still. Its as alive as its ever been.
What are your top3 reasons it qualifies as „abomination“?
Marathon is not an exclusive.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes to mind, the first few CoD, and at least the first MoH. Gearbox made a quite good Brothers in Arms game.
There is a safe way to recycle asbestos btw. It gets sintered and by this process disarmed forever, it turns into a block of glass. It’s expensive though so it gets put into plastic bags and then bulldozed (in this process the bags rip) and covered in landfill, where it can wash out and contaminate fully unfettered.
