Its definitely a hard thing for most indie devs to do on their own. Its a totally separate skillset that most of us don't have but can definitely be learned.

I took one camping with mixed results. Seemed to wrok decently if there was no wind, but even a slight breeze meant that it was getting blown away from us.

Roblox is just an engine, there are tons of shit games and many good ones. The Monetization however is quite shit

Coastlines exist in the real world, they are by definition finite structures. You can only zoom in to them so far before the structure is no longer a coastline.

Thats not that surprising, all games go through this stage of development where you're using basic assets just so you have something to look at while you're iterating gameplay
