It shouldn't have cost consumers anything.

The mark up on fast food is ridiculous and the only reason that the companies, and more specifically the franchises, haven't just absorbed the increase in labour cost is pure greed.

I've seen a few talking heads today desperately trotting out the "investing is a long term strategy" line and telling people not to sell or pull their money from their portfolios.

The statement is somewhat correct, but all they are after here is for a shmuck to hold the bag for them while the big players pull their tricks.

My favourite bit of contradictory logic.

We should deport all the illegals because they steal the jobs that nobody wants, while also getting handouts from the state and committing all the crimes.
