Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

With +154% USA's tariffs → on 1st degree a $10.00 flags+hats package is now $25.40 ... But on 2nd degree, the hat's crowd will cost much more to the decaying USA.

Very concisely put. We're at that point. Trade is effectively shut down at this point between the two. My limited understanding is that on the US side this will hit farmers the hardest.

And people in those markets are set to make billions by importing cheep Chinese goods, placing them in packaging made in their country, and exporting to the US with a markup.
I already know it happens because I've done it at a factory here in the United States.
I worked for a plastic injection molding company and we would import cheap Chinese metal tools and parts, for example a garden hose sprayer, then injection mold a plastic handle around it that covered the "made in China" stamp and repackage it in boxes that said "proudly made in the USA"
This was all good and legal because the plastic handle and packaging were indeed made in the USA and our company didn't consider them finished products without the handles.
Creatively dodging tariffs is nothing new - the Subaru BRAT famously has rear seats to get around the chicken tax, which is (among other things) a 25% tariff on imported trucks.
And just like last time Trump will give them money to not talk about it.

Chinese internal consumption grew since the first Trump republican admin. This will drive their local industries even further and grow the significance of relationships with its neighbors. Then here in the US, we'll spend less, have worse trade relations with neighbors and overseas countries, a good portion of us will have less interest in domestic made goods.
The US stupidly skipped to the end of a trade war plan. Didn't shore up domestic manufacturing beforehand. Didn't gather agreement with alliance countries to wage war together with. Didn't shore up support from the population to shoulder higher prices. No good will built. Just 3 months of immediate attacking everyone and be surprised that now domestically everyone's panicking too because no one prepared for this
