Not sure if "best" is the right word, but Joel's death scene was so impactful, even when I knew he had it coming and had to happen.

Also, over a decade ago but inFamous 2 evil ending when you last encounter Zeke. Oof, what a gut punch!

Thank you!!! Yes, the full game is going to be a complete story. There are only two of us working on it, but we are planning to release the whole game in late 2026. The demo is awaiting approval by Steam, and once that is complete, a few final touches should be enough to release it more broadly. Our demo is actually the first chapter of three, and we have all three chapters mapped out already. It's just a matter of bringing the last two up to snuff and then doing a final polish run.

Forgot about Child of Light! Striking visuals on it, too!

Abso-fricking-lutely!

After the "Dave the Diver" nomination for Best indie Game at the Game Awards, I've been struggling to draw a clear line here.

I feel like, yes, Dave the Diver feels very Indie to "me" but it's hard to say that of the studio itself.

Is the "Indie feel" something bigger studios might look to imitate in the future?

I might get behind something like that.

Hope: A Sky Full of Ghosts is a sci-fi point-and-click adventure where you, as Agatha Hope, captain a disjointed crew on a stolen spaceship.

Your goal? Escaping the corporate tyranny on Earth.

Your decisions and wits will decide the course of the mission, your relationship with the crew and whether you survive or not.

It blends the spirit of old-school point-and-click games with a deep narrative full of character and secrets.

Dialogue choices, puzzles and minigames will help you unravel the ship’s secrets and reveal your crew’s motives.

"Hop in, Hop out"?? Maybe?

Games in the AAA space tend to be "forever games." Almost demanding all of your free time to enjoy it. Even single-player ones, like Elden Ring and the new God of War(s), they have a story, but they want you to be in their worlds for as long as possible.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good story, but can we get shorter games? Like, concise experiences that are free of bloat?

I find myself ignoring AAA announcements because I "know" they will be games that take forever.

As I get older, I notice that the open world formula is tiring! I much prefer a linear game told well than the same game with add-ons.

I was looking forward to Days Gone. I haven't had it spoiled for me, so I picked it up and when I realized it was open world, it killed my enthusiasm for it.

I just can't go hours on end forever just because.

For me, open worlds are almost a Nay! I've heard great things about Days Gone, and I want to play it, but the amount of time it will take to go through the story, because it's open world, I don't know. I get tired just to think about it.

What about you? Do you enjoy open-world games? Do you seek them?
