Looks like we lost the fight for our right to party.

Security has been the one thing I've lacked my entire life. I haven't lived in any location for longer than 4 years ever, even in childhood... I'm so fucking sick of moving and not having a "home."

The way things are going though I've completely given up on it. I've been single for almost a decade now and house prices have gone so absurd that there's no way I'm doing it on a single income.

A lot of us are stuck here. I'm an almost 40 year old "uneducated" factory worker so that means no country worth a shit would ever allow a worthless shitbag like me citizenship. I wish I could leave.

This fucking administration...

Deportation for everyone: it's ok, we're saving Jewish people from the mean mean thought criminals.

Gut all beneficial programs: it's ok they're all parasites who play video games all day.

I love cats! I have a monkey kitty of my own, I've just never been fond of dogs unfortunately.

An interest in dogs. I really dislike them as far as having to live with one which makes dating literally impossible. Using dating sites over the years I've seen probably 80%+ profiles mention loving dogs, needing dogs, stealing your dog, owning all the dogs, some profiles even start with "blah blah dog."

I hate that there's such an obsession with dogs and travel... :(

The only thing in life that I'm actually really passionate about... Cool stuff.

This administration finds new ways for me to wish for their death every day.

Yes, but what did he DO for that money?

"Made a few phone calls. Moved money from one place to another. 2 1/2 billion, done."

Elsewhere in Fuckmerica:

"And why exactly do you think you deserve a $70k salary Mr.WithoutMeYourAssemblyDepartmentCollapses? That's an outrageous demand."

More than likely someone who has never heard the term, only read it, and probably recently. Great...

Musk: we're just eliminating waste! As in, it's a waste to spend anything on the poors. Let them die!

Magoos: YEAH!! WE'RE THE GOOD GUYS!

Yeah let's just add a little emphasis on a bit here...

"Marco Rubio said that the government can expel legal residents from the country based on “past, current, or EXPECTED BELIEFS, statements, or associations that are otherwise lawful.”

What the actual fuck? I mean aside from the holy first amendment batman shit, EXPECTED beliefs??

"He seems like the type to hate Israel so deport him"

Speaking of fox anchors... I used to work for a company that provided an ice cream machine for Dairy Queen and Carvel to do segments on a morning Fox show in Manhattan for the start of the ice cream season and I really had to fight the urge to add a laxative to the mix...

I kick myself frequently for not doing it, but I could imagine those asshats charging me with biological terrorism or something absurd and I kinda felt bad about "collateral damage" as other crew would come eat after the segment was over lol

25 minute exposure of NGC 2264 taken with a seestar s50. Testing the new denoise function added in the most resent seestar firmware update.

No further post processing so colors seem to be a bit off as a result of the denoise feature, but otherwise an amazing result as most images from the seestar s50 contain a lot of RGB noise!

Hey Lemmy! Time to do some digging!

I was sent a link from a friend about some Totally Cool™ guy who has close ties to JD Vance: Curtis Yarvin. Anyone aware of this guy and his desires? I won't put the link in here as my last post was removed because of it, but a comment within the thread is copied below.

Apparently Japanese media covered the story as was posted to Reddit, but there doesn't seem to be too much talk of this in the US.

From a comment in the reddit discussion: “Curtis Yarvin is a far-right ‘intellectual’ that wants to end democracy and install what I can only really describe as cyberpunk feudalism. He’s suggested turning the United States into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms ruled with absolute impunity by CEOs, as well as putting mandatory ankle monitors on all unemployed and poor people. This sounds like a joke, but I’m serious. JD Vance is not just a fan of him intellectually, but also a personal friend. As someone who has known about Yarvin for several years, it’s been really concerning seeing how he could potentially become a Rasputin-like figure in the event of a Trump victory. Beyond this, Yarvin has also spent many years advocating for what sounds eerily like Project 2025.”

For those familiar with Star Citizen lore, he apparently wants to turn the US into the Stanton system “lol” …
