It was posted in this very community, feel free to find it. Probably can search Charlie Hebdo.

You need the CLI more on average using linux, but many people can still get by without it. Tbh I thought I'd need it more so I learned the absolute basics it, and then it turned out I only "need" it rarely when I'm trying to do something weird or something that should be working isn't, but I end up using it all the time because it's just so convenient! And I learned more as I went along. Then I learned how to write basic scripts to automate stuff I wanted it to do by just chaining some of those commands together in a file, which was even more convenient. Honestly now Windows GUI is more difficult to me, I can't just type "yo do this shit" I have to click 4000 different things.

But yeah, adobe locks you in to windows anyway, dualboot ftw! Good luck on your journey!

Sure, but then so is saying "the french aren't that bad."

The part that is weird (and that I'm surprised a frenchman supports) is the part where wishing death on the french is not banned but saying "hey we shouldn't be making death wishes against the french" in response to "more mass shootings in france please" is banned.

Tbf, of course it is better to understand what those commands do too, but it always starts there! (And maybe a youtube tutorial or two for cd, ls, pwd, history, etc.)

Sorry lol, my mistake!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago (4 children)

I'm sorry, please respond more coherently as to why you support someone saying "the french deserve 1000 mass shootings" not being banned and people saying "that's fucked up french people are ok" being banned. I realize your first language is probably french, which makes your stance all the more confusing, so I'm not attempting to denigrate you for mistakes, but the above comment is near incomprehensible and to accurately respond I'd need to understand it.

"Still true" lol.

Man that sounds an awful lot like learning, but couldn't be, because learning is not possible!

Just give up and exclusively use iPhones lol, they're easier.

Their comment wasn't banned, and comments that called them out were, the instance is complicit whether you like it or not.

And yet you expect me to be able to figure out paella or my soil PH without a GUI? I'm expected to learn what color means what on these test strips and measure ingredients with different sized spoons? This is madness!

You're defending the instance that said and supported "France deserves 1000 Charlie Hebdos?" From @jai.lai or whatever your french instance is called?

Ok, well have fun with that.

New list is up!

Frankenstein New World The Sea Of Forever #1 - Anything Mike Mignola I'm down for

Batman Off-World #6 - Wait this is still running? Ok I'm already down for it.

Sacrificers #14 - This series still rules

Cruel Kingdom #2 - Shit I still haven't read the last one.

Short one for me but that's ok because I had to grab 3 weeks worth at once last week since my shop has had issues with Diamond (I think.) What're you pulling?

New list is up! Good one this week.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin II Re-Evolution #4 - Need more Turtles For Adults!

Ice Cream Man #43 - This issue is a series of one page horror vignettes by guest authors (all drawn/colored by Morazzo/O'Hallorhan iirc) of course with at least one being by W. Maxwell Prince (I think..), and including one by another favorite of mine, Patton Oswalt! Still one of my favorite comics out right now.

Seasons #1 - A horror story involving anthropomorphic seasons (winter, spring, summer, and autumn)? Ok sure I'll try it. Remender can go both ways for me, couldn't get into Low but love Sacrificers, so I'll at least look at a few issues.

Also add to that everything from last week, since my shop had none of it in stock. Idk what the hell is going on. Well, that's it for me, assuming my shop has any of it in stock.. What're you pulling?

This week's list is up! Sorry I'm a day late lol, I had the day off yesterday so my brain still thinks this is Monday lol. Looks like some good stuff this week!

Toxic Avenger #4 - I really shouldn't like this as much as I do lol.

Black Hammer Spiral City #3 - I like this Black Hammer universe, I need to catch up on the older stuff.

Creepshow Volume 3 #5 - End of the line for the third run, it's been great! Already eagerly anticipating the 4th! Looks like my copy might be coming in next week though, my shop has been having delay issues with Diamond, and it looks like Lunar ships it this week and Diamond the next, so who the hell knows.

Drawing Blood #7 - Behind on this series.

Hyde Street #3 - Really been digging the Hyde St universe (which is distinct from the other THREE Ghost Machine universes.) It's my favorite out of the lot actually, I need to know the details about everything they've been teasing!

w0rldtr33 #12 - Oh shit it's back! Looks like they're going into PH34R's backstory! Let's fucking go.

That's it for me, what're you pulling this week?

New list is up! Some good stuff this week.

Minor Arcana #5 - A woman moves back to her hometown when her mother gets sick, and she has to run the family psychic busines she thinks is bullshit. Only, she discovers there may be much more to it than meets the third eye (pun intended) when she has visions of her own. Written and drawn by Jeff Lemire who did Fishflies, also great.

From The World Of Minor Threats The Brood #2 - Minor Threats seems to be delivering again as usual, these books are good.

Shadow Of The Golden Crane #1 - I don't know anything about it but it looks neat.

Space Ghost #9 - Still following SG but I'm behind on it.

I Hate Fairyland #19 - Gert fucking shit up as usual, plays on my Happy Tree Friends nostalgia and has a better story, what's not to love?

Moon Is Following Us #5 - The fight to get their daughter back seems to grow tougher by the issue, but then if it didn't it wouldn't be much of a comic I guess now would it?

Well looks like that's it for me, what's on your pull lists this week?

New list is up! Looks like I'm back to it this week after a couple weeks of not much for me.

Blood Brothers Mother #3 - I've really been enjoying DSTLRY's stuff, this is no exception. I also happen to like westerns, so this one is a must get.

Geiger #10 - Not gonna lie I'm behind, but I'll catch up!

Lucky Devils #1 - This looks interesting, I'll check it out. Two demons stage a revolution in hell and are using two humans to do it (somehow.)

Cruel Kingdom #1 - Cruel Univer- I mean Cruel Kingdom is the new EC Fantasy reboot. I'm going to buy it just so EC can afford a thesaurus! (I was getting it anyway but c'mon surely there are other adjectives out there lol.)

That's it for me! What're you getting this week?

New list is up! Short list for me this week, looks like just one.

When I Lay My Vengeance Upon Thee #1 - This looks like it could be interesting, maybe I'll pick it up, but this seems to be the only enticing thing this week, I might just skip!

That's it lol. What're you getting this week?

Short one for me this week,

Black Hammer Spiral City #2 - Black Hammer is pretty good, I need to pick up all the back issues. One of the few superhero things I like.

From The World Of Minor Threats Barfly #4 - Last of Barfly's saga so far. Good luck Shiteater, we love you! The Brood (the next Minor Threats series) is shaping up to be pretty good so far too.

Groo Minstrel Melodies #4 - My shop missed #3 I think.

Freddie The Fix #1 - One shot, looks interesting.

Moon Is Following Us #4 - Been a good series so far! Parents have to enter their kid's dreams to save her consciousness and wake her up.

Sacrificers #13 - Man, even as a god of vengeance, Pigeon has it rough.

That's it for me, what're you grabbing this week?

Some good stuff for me this week

Toxic Avenger #3 - Actually been digging this series, I bought the first one just to read the "Message from Uncle Lloyd" but it ended up being (while updated and different) pretty faithful to the spirit of the OG.

In Bloom #1 - Art looks good, book looks creepy, will prob give it a shot.

Minor Arcana #4 - Unfortunately due to a damaged shipment I've had to wait for #3, hopefully I can get both this week.

From The World Of Minor Threats The Brood #1 - Ayyy more Minor Threats? Hell yeah! I'm in! The last one Barfly (still great, #4 out next week) wasn't written by Patton Oswalt (the hilarious comedian/actor) and Jordan Blum but this one is and I'm excited. If you've been sleeping on Minor Threats, check out all of them. (Minor Threats, The Alternates, MT: Fastest Way Down, Barfly, and now The Brood)

Batman Dark Patterns #1 - Maybe, I've been buying too many comics and need to cut back a bit.

Space Ghost #8 - Space Ghoooost.

Creepshow 2024 Holiday Special - Never missed a Creepshow and I'm not starting now.

Shiver SuspenStories #1 - Gotta give it a shot!

That's it for me, what are you pulling?

Short list for me this week which I don't mind because I still have to pick up last weeks!

Dread The Halls #1 - Yesssss! Bring the Halloween to Christmas! Too long has Christmas encroached on spooky territory, now we fight back!

I Hate Fairyland #18 - I love I Hate Fairyland.

Cruel Universe #5 - Cruel Universe is my favorite of these reboots so far for sure

That's it for me! Wha're you pulling this week?

New list is up, let's see here..

The Serpent in the Garden: Ed Grey and the Last Battle for England #1 - I like Hellboy and all I know is that this is in that universe, so I'll pick it up.

Creepshow Volume 3 #3 - Creepshoooooowwww!

Falling In Love On The Path To Hell #6 - Falling in love with this series is more like it.

Hyde Street #2 - I think this might shape up to be my favorite Ghost Machine title, only time can tell!

Whew looks like they went light on me this week, thankfully! Real excited about all of these though! What're you pulling this week?

List is up! Big one for me this week!

Groo Minstrel Melodies #3 - I see Sergio, I buy Sergio. This was delayed last week I think (at my shop anyway) so I hope.I see it this week.

Minor Arcana #3 - Loving this series so far!

Convert #4 - End of the road for this one, interesting story for sure and I like the colors.

Geiger #8 - Still Following this one.

Ice Cream Man #42 - This series is kinda the whole reason I am into comics, started out collecting this one and branched out from there. Before I saw this I'd only seen like superhero stuff which I couldn't get into (I tried), had read Watchmen and V for Vendetta (Loved em), and some Deadpool (liked em lol) but that was it.

Moon Is Following Us #3 - Liking this series so far, #1 was a hook, #2 gives a few answers and gives even more questions, I'm along for the ride.

Epitaphs From The Abyss #5 - This one is...alright. I debate dropping it each time because I favor Creepshow and even Cruel Science, one day that'll happen, maybe today, who knows.

Whew! What're you pulling?

List is up! Let's see, I'll be grabbing:

Toxic Avenger #2 - I was skeptical this would be a cheap imitation/just cashing in on the name, but the cover said "A message from Uncle Lloyd" and I wanted to read that alone, so I picked it up (#1). It was actually pretty good as far as a modern retelling goes, nothing will beat the OG but I will finish this out.

Black Hammer Spiral City #1 - I've only read some Black Hammer but I want to hunt down the rest, it was good!

Groo Minstrel Melodies #3 - I see Sergio, I buy Sergio.

Helen Of Wyndhorn #6 - End of the road, this series has been pretty good, I'm hoping for a spinoff/sequel that shows more of the magical world or Helen (or anyone's) adventures there.

Life #3 - This series is alright so far, two different perspectives in one book.

Time Waits #2 - Ngl I have to read #1 still before I pull the trigger, but I'll do it today.

Space Ghost #7 - Space Ghooooost!

That's it for me, what're you pulling this week?
