Red sky at night, shepherds/sailors delight. Red sky at morning, shepherds/sailors take warning

Just a variation of the old rhyme.

Yes, this. I can shower and throw my clothes in the wash, but getting all that road grit off the bike is a pain.

Got to love how they depict him as a muscular superhero figure. He has never looked like that in his life.

Swans are kind of terrifying. Like Canada geese, but much bigger.

Just like Covid cases! If you stop testing for it, then it magically disappears!

Seems there are a surprising number of nut varieties that can be grown in zone 3. I wonder if I could talk the condo board into planting some Korean pines? Pine nuts are the most expensive item in the grocery store by weight right now.

I would say he's being paid by Big Beef, but now his boss is screwing over American cattle producers.

I always preferred them to Starbucks and couldn't understand why there weren't more outlets.

I know walnuts are grown in BC because I used to be able to get them from the farmer's market in Calgary 16+ years ago. I don't know how widely available they are outside BC, though. Hazelnuts (filberts) will grow on the prairies in zone 3, but I haven't heard of anyone growing them commercially.

Just befriend an old road cyclist with packrat tendencies and ask them for end plugs. They all have decades worth of bar end plugs stashed in the garage somewhere, because handlebar tape always comes with a pair and they can't bear to throw anything out. (Ask me how I know.)

Loved the old location in Riversdale. Since it moved to that dreary building out by the airport, half the booths are empty and very few customers ever seem to be milling around.

Where do you think it should be, given that they can't go back to the old location? All suggestions welcome, even really terrible ones.

I may have to replace my old Mac with OS 10.13 simply because most web browsers won't update unless a newer operating system is installed.

First safety tests passed

Anyone else got one? I bought a Flextail and it works pretty well. The only drawback is the amount of noise it makes. I top up my tire pressure the evening before a ride, because it could wake up all the neighbours if I used it at 6:00 a.m..

They look just like real hornet nests

Bought used in 2019. Not a Honda or a Toyota, a Dodge Grand Caravan. Given how many examples of the previous Caravan body type I still see on the roads (at least 17 years old), I think I will have it for at least 4 more years. It runs well and I keep it maintained.

It's only annoying quirk is that the "check engine" light comes on for a few days whenever we have a lot of rain and high humidity.

It will be based on summer road construction in Saskatoon. Player tosses the dice, moves to a space on the board that says "Construction ahead, choose a lane". Player picks the right lane, then draws a card from a deck. Wrong answer! You need to filter to the left lane! Go back 4 spaces and wait for a chance to merge!

Another roll of the dice gets you lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood as you try to follow the detour signs.

Fun for the whole family! Except those old enough to drive. Probably.

My Carmine Jewel sour cherry tree outdid itself this year.
