I think that can happen on Lemmy-ui as well when comments get deleted. In this case it might be Nicole DM spam being deleted by an admin.

How long after first time using the platform did you talke the screenshot, I mean bots exist

I can't remember, all I know is that this is from june 2020. Can't tell why it happened but definitely never got any matches, not even bots.

marking an inbox item as read just does $notifications.inbox--, but the number only updates every 5 minutes, so when you go to an inbox with unread items before it updates, and mark one as read, it does this

i could easily fix it but i always forget right as i open the editor
