as a new job "perk" at a hospital I get to choose what days I work: because I get differential if I work weekends, I wrote I want to work everyday but Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Now I wonder if I should have chosen Mondays and Fridays. On Mondays people act all stressed out (beginning of the week) and on Fridays they're also insufferable (they all want to go home ASAP)

I've never inverted my weekend like this so if you ever worked like I'm about to, how was it? Any drawbacks?

I don't know about you, but whenever I've had schedules where I didn't get two sequential days off in a week I'd tire out waay fast.

In your situation, I'd probably pick Sunday+Monday as my weekend. You get the extra for working on Sunday, and you get to avoid the stressed people on Mondays. It is nice to have one conventional weekend day off, the other commenters aren't lying when they say working weekends limits social opportunities.

I mostly work weekends, and it means that anyone working a standard week is difficult to spend any time with.

Hospitality worker here. Working weekends means less time to socialise with friends who are on a M-F schedule and less opportunity to attend events in general because they're usually scheduled on weekends. You'll have to put more effort into staying in touch with people and finding things to do on your days off.

It'll probably be ok as long as the days are together. A single day off between work isn't relaxing. You spend the whole day stressed about the next day of work a

Saint Monday is tradition

So my advice is Tuesday and Friday that would the same as if you did weekend Wednesday but adjusted since you can't take the Sunday off. This let's you work less days between breaks so you get to enjoyment of both days vs recovering from a 5 day work week then only having one day to enjoy your day.
