Journaling Just Works

476 readers
8 users here now

A place to discuss anything related to keeping a journal, a diary, a planner, a bullet journal, art/junk journal. Productivity, self-help, mindfulness, memory-keeping, creativity, project management or any other purpose.

Paper and digital alike.

RULES

  1. Be nice. If you need to preach or to hate on anyone, I will show you the door.
  2. Keep it on-topic. Definitely NOT on topic: politics, pornography, bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia.
  3. No ads. Product reviews and critics are welcome, as well as links to your own personal blog and videos provided they’re not product placement and that they are related to journaling.

upon the birth of Moana, Sun, Bear, and Raya, I am starting to record the history of Lana, Misha, and pups. It is a great feeling. Basically, before I started doing this was prehistory and now there is a record of history. I bet alot of you know what this feels like. Now pics and stories are saved and revisitable.

Dont worry contains no ads, monetization, google analytics, any of that. It's pure; like a sacred thing should be. I have one page to add entries and another to see them.

Anyway, what u think? :)

Not much into 'sacred thing' myself but I can say I quite like the idea ;)

Indeed, they are. And that's one of the reason journaling is so invaluable: we can go back to it and it won't fluctuate like our memories invariably do. I also like your mention of (pre)history, it's spot on.

I haven't seen a page view counter in awhile, it's cool to see one again!

Also, doing a journal on your own website is pretty cool. Although the rules of this community say

Paper and digital alike.

I was under the impression that the community slanted more towards people who journal on paper. So it was nice to have a link to click.

Sorry, I just noticed your comment today.

To make it 100% clear: the community is agnostic and is open to any form of journaling. It will reflect that, hopefully, as soon as more people start posting about digital and analog alike.

As a user I'm mostly analog and since it happens I'm also the admin and the main poster (I would be so happy to see that being challenged!) well it's mostly focused on analog and attracts to like-minded people. So, by all means, feel free to make it a lot more digital if you're into digital. I will happily read that and participate if I think I have anything worth sharing as, along the years, I also have been using digital a lot, I just decided to give up on it :)
