As much as I moan, I've got to give it up for liberalism when it comes to personal freedoms and such. Would love to see some woke communism tho, for real.

For all my bitching about the original Bolsheviks (including Lenin), the early, pre-Stalin SovUnion was equivalent in its treatment of LGBT folk as the more progressive liberal democracies of the time. Which may be a low standard, considering it was the 1920s we're talking about, but all progress is relative.
