So long as you enjoyed playing though :D

I usually just get to trains then say “this is too much work” and quit.

I also can’t seem to survive biters. I basically have to set them to no spawn.

Nothing wrong with turning them off entirely if it makes the game funner for you.

If you want a small tip though, you need to go on the offensive with bitters as soon as you can. Don't only defend.

The sooner you can wipe out all the nearby nests, the longer you'll have to grow uninterrupted.

I had several hundred hours in the game before I launched the base rocket.

I still haven't completed space age yet. Haven't even made it to Aquillo.

Gleba and Vulcanus are the most fun anyway :D

It's not bad. What actively bothers me is the incessant flashing of the whole screen for two minutes every two minutes or so. Besides that,

Fulgora discovery spoilerthere not being any enemy whatsoever
makes it less... special? deep? highlight-worthy? I'm not sure what to call it but that makes it feel pretty barebones so I wouldn't say it's among the best planets, even if it is a good planet

Fulgora resource management spoilerIt also feels wasteful to trash so much stuff just to get a trickle of Holmium ore, even if it's a fun challenge, it feels kinda wrong. I've just accepted that now, though, as there is no way around it and the near-spawn deposits are rich enough for it not to be a problem in my current save's production scale

Which is not to misrepresent how fun the unique challenges to Fulgura are to solve: very much in line with how Factorio should be, yet also unique. I did enjoy it (last night I spent some time working on the setup there and enjoyed myself) even if it's not imo among the absolute best planets :)

Curious how you see it. The Gleba experience was exquisitely frustrating for a while but I've come to enjoy it, even if I can see why someone wouldn't. But Vulcanus, for example, how'd you rank that with Fulgora?

Here I am, stuck at early space, desiring to finally create everything assembler setup with circuit, but unable to continue because redesigning it again seems as too big job. Some day, my star will shine.

I love Factorio and played all 3 of the Industrial revolution mods from start to finish and also K2 or whatever it was called but the expansion is just too much. I am stuck at aquilos.

I found gleba to be death before it changed me and after that I spent too much time there just having fun. Probably over 100 hours. Aquilos... Yeah, no. Doesn't help that my ship I flew on there got ripped apart because of something I messed up. It is still alive and can hold itself now but I can't get away and building a new ship felt like a hassle. Guess I just have to find the time and patience to make a new, better ship and also try to get aquilos going. The mechanic for that planet isn't much fun either :(

You sound like you would love the only nauvis mod. There are two types. One has no space but the different landscapes of vulcano, gleba and aquilo are distributed in the different cardinal directions. The other one just has the new planets as asteroid belts where you have to fly a ship there to collect, so you don't have any other planet. I really liked the first one to play through. All the new tech, but no hastle with the new planets.

Late answer but this sounds great. Have to try it after finishing my vanilla run. Thank you!

At this rate it'll take me longer to beat Space Age than to beat Bob's+Angel's.
