Why did Americans get these crazy ideas about monarchies? I am living in a monarchy that's like ten times as democratic as the United States ever was.

That's because your monarch probably has very little actual power. The British monarchy (for example) has has their power slowly eroded over there centuries, and have very little influence on policy. There are few monarchies left where the royalty is actively involved in politics.

Trump wants to establish a dictatorship; I don't know that he gives much of a shit about his kids. Dictatorships are rarely hereditary. Someone's going to take exception with the strict definitions here, but: we had to come up with the term "dictator" to represent what monarchs around the world no longer were: absolute rulers, who's word was law.

The complaint here is that dems don’t do anything, not that they don’t stop reps. Nobody from either party deserves our vote. It’s just for show anyways.
