Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I hope this narcissistic, lying piece of shit rots in prison.

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Tamper your expectations cause that is never going to happen. Best we can hope for is public humiliation and a big Mac overdose

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 3 points 2 years ago

I also believe that it's never going to happen, but I still hope it will.

[–] raunz@mander.xyz 5 points 2 years ago

Already rotting. We're running out of time

Let's say you had the choice between :

1-Getting a million dollars, no strings attached

Or

2-Trump goes to prison for his crimes for the rest of his life

Which one do you choose?

A million dollars buys nice things, but I don't think it would ever come close to the joy and satisfaction I'd get from option 2.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 2 points 2 years ago

I would easily choose Trump spending the rest of his life in prison.

While suddenly having a million dollars would be amazing, I'm not struggling financially, so I don't truly need it.

Our country needs justice.

Oh, NOW he's upset about election interference. Fucking weirdo.

[–] takeda@lemmy.world 56 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He actually declared he was running right after the DOJ announced the investigation. Only after his announcement Jack Smith was appointed special counsel, to remove any appearance of it being political.

Of course that didn't stop him from calling it that way anyway.

The real reason he is still running is to avoid jail.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 2 years ago

He's telegraphing his next moves. Pay attention.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 56 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So if you’re running for president, you CANNOT BE CONVICTED OF CRIMES YOU COMMITTED

[–] evidences@lemmy.world 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well duh presidential candidate immunity!

[–] MagicShel@programming.dev 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm announcing my candidacy for the 2064 election.

[–] cheddar@programming.dev 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

How old are you? I mean unless you're 40 now, you might be too young for 2064.

[–] MagicShel@programming.dev 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

We're good. About to turn 51. I think I'll be just about ripe for leadership by then. Gives me time to develop some golf skills.

[–] cheddar@programming.dev 3 points 2 years ago

You can count on my vote if I become a US citizen by then.

DERANGED WEIRDO YELLS AT SKY

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 26 points 2 years ago

Hillary Clinton is unimpressed.

[–] thatsnothowyoudoit@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 years ago

Seems that Mr. Trump wasn’t singing the same tune when it went his way in October 2016 with a certain FBI director…

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 15 points 2 years ago

You can tell Jack Smith is a WEAK Man because he doesn't Rant and Rave and Complain and ask for Donations when Judges rule against him like TRUMP does!

[–] grumpo_potamus@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago (4 children)

Does he own any other outfits? Every picture I see of him for like at least the last 6 months, he's wearing the same suit and tie.

[–] grumpo_potamus@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

The cream/white shape wear is so 2017

[–] elliot_crane@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

If you look at the first picture closely enough, you can see the outline of his Depends. If I had to see it, so do all of you.

[–] numbermess@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

It’s a thing. Just like he says the same goddamn shit over and over and over again, he also wears the same goddamn shit over and over again. People love a fixed point.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 years ago

Probably part of the reason he smells so bad

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 years ago

I'm willing to bet he's stupid enough to think "Red White and Blue" will be so impressive to his idiot followers.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So still zero sense of irony with these motherfuckers? Got it

[–] Lobreeze@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Hypocrisy is the word you are looking for.

Nothing about this is ironic.

[–] pingveno@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Well Mr. Trump, if you hadn't dragged your heels for years, this wouldn't still be going during the election.

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Is "Merely an Attempt to INTERFERE WITH THE ELECTION" referring to Smith in 2024 or downplaying Donald's behavior in 2020 as like "just a prank, bro."

[–] nonailsleft@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

Why isn't he letting Rudi handle this
