Oh wow! That Tjorn Sibma dude is the Shadow Minister for METRONET. That's astonishing - they made a ministerial portfolio explicitly for an individual government project. He's not the Shadow transport minister, that's a Nationals party member.

Sounds like they realised at the last minute that a bunch of 3G modems needed replaced and switched to doing that instead of the rollout.
Could've cut into their budget pretty hard, maybe thats contributong to their 'resource' constraints now as well.
Get it done already! This is the last physical card I carry
Ha, wow thats somewhat of an achievement.
Next minute you'll say you only pay for things in 'gold bar' defeating the purpose of carrying less cards. /j
You don't just use your phone for everything else? I even print documents at work by swiping my phone.
I'm with @Giddy.
I have cards for all sorts still. Lot of the cards i have, local library etc, dont have other methods that i'm aware of.
Not really keen on the banking apps just yet either. I'm willing to entertain the idea that i might be stuck in the past on this one though, lol!
There are two bank cards, 37 loyalty cards, medibank, a pool pass, library card and two tickets to an upcoming show in my (digital) wallet.
Plus I suppose all the mygov stuff like Medicare, vaccination records etc.
It's very convenient to have all that on me and there is no way I'd carry almost any of it on me if I had physical cards.
Woah, yeah, i've a lot less cards than you.
I'm a bit interested though, especially because i's thinking about grabbing a few more loyalty cards. Are there any ones you'd recommend i should look at?
Especially if you rate a local or euro one.
Recommend loyalty cards? Not really. The usual deal is you give a store your (junk) email address, they start spamming you, you unsubscribe. Out of that you get a customer card. That gives you discounts for stuff. The number of loyalty cards I have suggests I'm not at all loyal to the stores. ๐
The main ones I guess most people have are Coles, Woolies, Myer etc. But another example of my lack of loyalty is I have Ace, Hoyts and Greater Union (Event), depending on whichever cinema I'm going to.
I'm not sure what you mean by a Euro one - I'm thinking we may be talking about different things.
Hahaha, na i's meaning digital wallet providers.
But i'm glad you're spreading the love to all the cinemas! Best mainstream cinema for me is Reading, cheap tickets for the win. My favourite cinema is Windsor cinema though, i like the old seats rather than these huge new pillows in the shape of seats.
Oh, I'm personally all-in on the Google ecosystem. I like their products. Yes, they know all about me and I know that's a non-starter for many people.
I am however a GSuite user. The catalogue of Google software behaves differently for GSuite users because we're customers/not product. So, I do have a bit more privacy control (it's actually annoying most of the time) than regular Google users.
So, I use the Google Wallet that comes with Android.
Ah okay, i's definitely on the google camp more than anywhere else. But i'm feeling more risk aversion to them, or even to put too much reliance in any one company/organisation now.
Maybe i'll have a look around a bit more though, its about time i got into the 21st century a bit.
