Funny because i called musk a cunt under one of his twitter posts and he banned me. 🤔

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Your fault for being on his crappy medium

[–] Snowclone@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The point is Elon himself will not let you criticize him.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago

I know. So leave his fucking website/app! I never used it yet I once made an account and dug it up only to delete it.

I haven't been on it in months. I refuse to use that fascist platform. I got banned before the election.

So uuuhm… Musk rules over americans? IIRC he wants to ban GOP dissent from Twitter.

Musk's little piss-baby spez just banned all criticism of him on Reddit, no?

[–] MothmanDelorian@lemmy.world 0 points 1 year ago (3 children)

No, they axed subs where new accounts made specific targeted death threats at Musk's team. You cannot make targeted death threats against specific people.

Which is where this funky thing called moderation comes in, typically starting with a locked thread, deletion of comments, and banning the new users.

It generally does not come with a community ban or a banwave following that of other communities.

"Glitch" my ass.

So if I wanted to get /r/conservative banned, all I have to do is make a bunch of sock puppet accounts and post death threats there? Yeah, that's not how that works and reddit admins know it.

[–] MothmanDelorian@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

In that sub’s case no because they seem to always want to protect the only safe space for conservatives which includes fascism

That's one of the most controlled and curated subreditts around, you can only participate if they let your account in manually, and they will actually check your history and see if you meet their standards for American Republican party line conformity, they do not allow conservatives that don't align with the American Republican party line period. And they will ban and target and harass people who manage to get in and agitate their sub, which is why I'm permabanned on Reddit. I used to aggitate the fuck out of those twats but that was back when they were still pretending to be anything other than a neo nazi echo chamber. Reddit is very easy to get premabaned on, they really don't care about the content of what you post it reply or the community guidelines, you can just get reported too often with no legislate cause, or, get noticed by a mod who can just run around and ban and harass you everywhere with no oversight. It's pretty clear how and why it's a deeply insulated platform.

I cant criticize children for existing so they must be in charge of the world

I can and do.

Get your tiny little freak hands out of my sight, small children.

With the Right, it’s always projection.

There’s a good chance that Musk’s ambitions are to become as powerful as he imagines the Elders of Zion to be.

[–] Maggoty@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Yeah that's not a thought experiment that survives very long if you start seriously thinking about it.

[–] _____@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

btw this is a dog whistle despite the general meaning applying to lots of groups

[–] DavidGarcia@feddit.nl 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

who said this quote first?

[–] Squorlple@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

From what I can tell, Neo-Nazi Kevin Alfred Strom, over 200 years after Voltaire’s time

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Yep, it was just 22 years ago. He was not only a white nationalist, neo Nazi, and founder of the National Vanguard, but in his spare time he loved to look at CSAM.

He pled guilty to having it in 2008, then told the judge how he possessed it unwillingly. Considering how many of those kinds of folks have that material, I don't believe him.

This is a declarative, not a thought experiment.
