I was so hoping the screenshots-of-text-content stuff would die with reddit. It's crap for accessibility.
Either laugh at your own joke. Mention it is a joke. Or keep punning until they get it. Especially as they’re not your acquaintances, they don’t know if you’re trying to be funny or an asshole.
Guess they're not wired for puns. Time to switch the conversation to something light so you don't run up the meter with their resistance.
