Eh, probably not. 35 kids is plenty.

https://lemmy.world/u/Stomata@sh.itjust.works Please remember to include the resolution in the title. This helps with deciding how to best use your wallpaper. Thanks for posting!

Yes, https://lemmy.world/u/toni_bmw , please remember to include resolution and source. And if you took this, just put “OC” in the title. This is a smaller community, so I’m trying to allow some room for growth, but the giving the artist credit is important.

I’m guessing using Kickstarter has the benefit of adding hype as a new thing. I’ve always been curious about Open Collective and Liberapay. Have you tried it? Was it a smooth process?

Yeah, that is what I was referring to with boosting. I think I understand now. For a short while, it looked to me like there were replies on Mastadon that I didnt write, but apparently they are just all of the “boosted” posts coming from Lemmy comments. Thank you.

Just when I think I have somewhat of an understanding of the fediverse, there becomes more questions. So, I am the moderator for !dadjokes@lemmy.world and I see many “boosted” posts. Does that occur any time there is a comment on that post from Lemmy, or has someone made another account on Mastadon that is using the same photos from the dadjokes Lemmy community?

by Alex Hyner.

I’ve never seen this style before, it’s pretty cool.

I tried a lemmy.world account and lemm.ee account, each with the username and then the email. The accounts work fine on the Voyager web app, just not the native iOS app.

Standards? Reminds me of that 12-inch tall king…

Terrible leading, but made a great ruler

of when I handed my dad his 60th birthday card.

He told me, “You know one would have been enough.”

This is a friendly reminder to please include the artist/source for the image

Update 2025-9-11: If you cannot tell this joke to a 5-year-old and they would understand, you should probably post it to the this community: !unclejokes@lemmy.world. Please message me if you think it could be different.

Made from Lonesome Traveller by Pete Lloyd

It is listed as “true black” but I don’t actually have an OLED phone, so correct me if it is not OLED true black.

I know everyone may be interacting with Lemmy in different ways, but the sidebar mentions the guidelines for the community. From the limited feedback I got, crediting the artists was valued, so I would like to continue that.

I know it is not as convenient to search, but the artist or source took the time to create or capture the image you are enjoying, so we can take 60 seconds to search for their name.

If you run it through Google Images or any other image search and cannot find an artist or source website, you can simply put “artist not found” or something to that extent.

Please let me know if these seems unreasonable or you have a different suggestion. Like many of you folks, I’m adapting the best I can to develop the community environment.

Don’t worry about uploading elsewhere; you can just upload the image with the Lemmy post and keep it simple.

It looks like some of the images were only available in the native resolution after clicking the hosting link (eg Post Image), which is an extra step for sharing. We can worry about hosting space later if that actually becomes an issue.

Let me know if you guys have other suggestions.
