In a way, maybe? That is if you consider the lines we draw between where life starts and ends are considered social too.

You could say a dead person with children never died, in a roundabout way

Medlife crisis has a great video on how doctors actually had to "redefine death". It's been a while since I watched it, so I don't remember if he uses the words "social construct," but the video thesis is close to that, iirc
