One of the only souls bosses I've not managed to beat. I just couldn't get past phase 2 when he gets all erratic and jumpy. Even with summons i just wasn't getting it.

Yeah it's insanely hard. Played through the game a dozen times and it's one of the few bosses I still walk into the arena and think "welp, time to die." So you are 100% not alone, summons make him even more unpredictable and he can just turn around and delete you.
It's a really messy fight, no shame here. Took me a bunch of times too
I must have had 60 plus goes over more than a week before I called it as done with the dlc.
Understandable. No sense in forcing it

Pretty sure orphan was the only Bloodborne boss I've not beat.
