She added that, rather than sleuthing, her community has “concepts of thoughts and prayers."

LMFAO

I'm dead. R.I.P. me.

Not as dead as that CEO

Too fucking right.

Edit: I don't have any "top Internet sleuthing" skills, but if I did, I sure as shit wouldn't be helping the cops.

Remember kids, if you see something, shut your goddamn mouth, no you didn't.

I'd help cops prosecute guys like that CEO. But we know that never happens, so...

So we do it ourselves

The surge of social media posts praising and glorifying the killing of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson is deeply concerning

"We might be next" is what they really mean.

I really hope, though I doubt it, that this is a turning point in the culture war and we can get back to the class war.

As long as CEO's have a single moment of "Will this decision I'm about to make mean people might actually shank me?" resides in their thought processes, the world benefits.

Unfortunately, all that will get through their heads is, ‘I better hire more cops to babysit me’.

If you are referring to "the only 'war' that matters is the class war" then I completely disagree.

There's a lot of struggles that people have to endure that have nothing to do with class and any failure to understand this will leave many bad parts of the system in place in people's minds and the structures of society.

Being elevated back to a class where they belong could resolve a lot of those problems...instead they are being suppressed and pushed further downwards resulting in MORE struggles.

I do not agree that 'elevating' someone back to a certain class will solve racism, for example.

Such an idea is an overly simplistic 'solution' to ingrained, structural issues and modes of thinking.

They must be tackled at the true root of such a problem, things like white supremacy which are not inherently to do with 'class' but a political ideology and way of seeing the world far beyond the limits of 'class' could ever hope to understand.

Because because because because!
Because of the wonderful things he does!

So before the election I'm having a conversation with my oldest brother whose wife works for a hospital in admin and he was lamenting about the fact the CEO of the hospital was fired "because of all the illegals getting free healthcare". He was a tad upset when that garnered zero sympathy from me.

My brother, if you had socialized, single payer healthcare it would not only save you money, but would also cover all your so called 'fraud'. AND as a bonus you could still have (very inexpensive) private insurance.

But what do I know, I'm just living in a country that has that.

Put Reddit on the case, I'm sure they'll help. lol

Help in finding the wrong person and putting blame on someone they don't like, for sure.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure Sunil Tripathi came back from the dead n did the murder.

This sounds like a desperate cry from the family unfortunately, the guys’ family probably needs a hug

[–] [email protected] 19 points 4 months ago

I'd say a hug to fend of the trauma of having a father that profited of the excruciating deaths of the untold masses, would be warranted. While I don't know their situation, if they happily profited along, not so much.

Remember, these people have wealth beyond our wildest dreams, they can distance them selves or even run away and still be set for life.

He and the wife have been separated for years. So maybe not as much of a hug as you think.
