Proclamations carry no legal weight. All his proclamations and executive orders can be summarily ignored.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

What? Only the MAGA and Russian turds would want to live in a gold decorated house. Fuck that and the next US President is going deal with a lot of shit from that Russian pedo asset.

[–] PetDinosaurs@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I'm sure there are others here who understand this better than me, but he is seriously mentally ill.

Like, if he weren't so actively damaging to real people, I'd feel bad for him.

You managed to get yourself elected to the most powerful position in the world and still feel the need to try to name things after yourself.

Even before he got elected first time he made it clear that he was insecure about his penis size on the Republican debate stage.

Can you imagine that? Someone who weilds the nuclear football? Penis envy.

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 0 points 5 hours ago

I can't bieve h e talked about a fuua penis for 15 minutes and still got elected in. If a Democrats would have done that it would have been a blood bath.

[–] Didntdoit71@feddit.online 20 points 10 hours ago

So, he doesn't want a future President to do EXACTLY WHAT HE DID TO THE EAST WING? God, he's such a fucking hypocritical cunt!

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 30 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

It'll be fun watching the next president, Democrat OR Republican, ignore the shit out of that proclamation and remodel it like every president has done.

Honestly, at this point I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a bigger loser in the history of our species.

[–] AngryRobot@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

Ice known that since I was 8 and saw him and his home on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was the gold plated toilet that did it.

Focusing on the issues that really matter to people

Trump’s opulent redesign of the Oval Office has drawn criticism, including from former president Barack Obama, who recently joked that “he’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. Just gold everywhere.”

Obama’s remark prompted a coordinated response from the White House, with treasury secretary Scott Bessent appearing to hit back by dining at a Cheesecake Factory.

This is truly a sad time for comedians everywhere. They have no hope of competing with reality.

[–] CanIFishHere@lemmy.ca 1 points 4 hours ago

Scott Bessent got whooshed.

[–] vithigar@lemmy.ca 10 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

It is crazy to me that every single right wing talking head latched into the Cheesecake Factory part of that statement.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Yeah instead of taking insult at the idea trump would be associated with someone that was pro literacy

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

"Opulent"? Maybe in Russia. Around here that's just tasteless and gaudy

[–] minkymunkey_7_7@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago

The peak (so far) of the reality/comedy blur was the diaper wearing cult fans and the tampax on the ears. They know they're stupid and proud of it.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 7 points 11 hours ago

at least a Cheesecake Factory has cheesecake.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 11 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

That will all be torn down before the next guy takes office. While he's giving his inaugural speech, they're going rip that shit off the wall, patch, and repaint. The only think left as a hint it was every there will be the smell of fresh paint.

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 4 points 5 hours ago

The only think left as a hint it was every there will be the smell of fresh paint.

Oh man... You just made me imagine what the Oval Office smells like right now. I wonder if the Trump-funk will return when the smell of fresh paint fades away.

[–] nastronot@lemmy.zip 23 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

the proclamation would ensure the West Wing rooms would not be “touched by anybody, destroyed, ripped down by stupid people”

Like the East Wing?

[–] Windex007@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago

By this reading if you can argue if you're not a stupid person ripping it down actually is permitted.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 10 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Tackling the big concerns that cost Republicans in the election I see...

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 8 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I like how Trump doesn't realize that he was definitely on the ballot.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

He was constantly saying before the midterms that he was on the ballot.

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Yeah he definitely knows. He's just trying to spin, and it's about as impressive as a fish flopping around in a boat

[–] Gpennyhigh@lemmy.world 12 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

What a pos, he makes all the gaudy changes he wants, and then tries to block others from doing their thing. This is what his cult is like too, selfish bullies, punch down on others and all the unhealthy, conditional ways they use.

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

The governor we just booted, Greg abbott, sued for something around 9 million for the accident that put him in a wheelchair. Then the first chance he got, he changed the law so nobody could sue the way he did.

This is their way.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 15 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I hope the next president or whoever replaces Trump literally wipes their ass with his proclamation.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 11 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It would probably be smartest to just build a new building for the functions. I'd bet those assholes bugged it to shit to keep tabs on things once they are out.

Similar with all the systems DOGE got their hands on and the links between them.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago

Everything needs to be gutter and returned to the way it was. Including the Swedish Ivy and roses.

[–] ChonkyLincoln@lemmy.zip 9 points 12 hours ago

What a total piece of shit he is. Fuck Donald Trump. Let the prosecutions begin.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 51 points 18 hours ago (4 children)

Every president has redecorated the Oval Office. Including trump. None of them have demanded that their decor choice not be touched after they leave. Except trump.

But to be honest, I’m just surprised he’s talking about leaving.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 27 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (11 children)

He won't be leaving voluntarily. He's not building that ballroom and golf course for the next guy. He was talking about after he's dead. He's starting to focus on his "Legacy," which he thinks he can save, even though he is already tightly ensconced as the worst president of all time, by a long ways.

Everything this clown signs should become null & void the minute he is dragged out of his ballroom bunker.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Hopefully he pulls a Hitler and doesn't make it out of the bunker except in ash form.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 1 points 7 hours ago

Hopefully he pulls a Hitler

He doesn't have the guts to do that.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 12 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Since almost all of it is Executive Orders, it literally can all be made null and void with a single EO from the next president.

[–] ElChinchilla@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

I hope the next president makes an executive order to remove executive orders as a method of any real things being passed. Like, an executive order can be issued to recall a congress in recess, but not be issued for things that should require a vote, or start "super not acts of war" and/or eliminate it as an option. The clawing back and removal of a lot of BS presidential protections/immunity need to take place too. Checks and balances, with extra emphasis on the checks. No god damn kings.

“Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.”

[–] tough_cookies@lemmy.cafe 4 points 12 hours ago

Hmm, it's just an empty McD's bag and a full diaper. Gross.

Oh well, considering he's the only stupid person in the picture I think it's safe to ignore this, as we should everything else he says or does. Big fucking baby.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 19 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

Next president who’s not a fascist:

executive order: literally every executive order orangeboi made is now null and void. We can do it this way, or the pedantic way. I have a printer, and all you will accomplish is wasting a single day of my time.

Edit: honestly I would absolutely love it if that was the verbatim wording of the EO that accomplishes this.

[–] LucidNightmare@anarchist.nexus 5 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I mean.. seriously. At this point in time, I want a dem president to pull all the same little levers this fucking loser and his loser cronies pulled to get actual good things pushed through for once.

It’s a dream, I’m sure, but it would be nice to see finally. Like, just imagine all the terrible things those villains used to get all the most horrible shit passed and done, but only used to make America actually worth living in. It’d make me cry.

The fact that Democratic politicians seem to be incapable understanding basic game theory, and are clearly mystified by the concept of malicious compliance, is unbelievably frustrating

His White trash baroque needs to go
