Um... Pattern Recognition, is the period in the room with us? Because I see a question mark. So is pattern recognition going back and re-reading previous messages to look for clues?

Time for another playthrough, I guess!

[–] fleem@piefed.zeromedia.vip 15 points 1 week ago (3 children)

yes yes!

my partner (the autism voice in this bit) was pretty deflated when beating it after following all the rules and doing everything the "right" way

and the game just straight up calls them a goody two shoes cop! and like, pats them on the back lol

It called me "the sorriest cop alive" for apologizing and trying to do the right thing

My partner (the adhd voice in this bit) didn't finish the game.

It also picks on you for being centrist

I'm curious to try out Zero Parades, but I refuse to give ZA/UM money after what they did so I'm going to... Look elsewhere.

I've heard it's good, but not as silly/funny as DE which is disappointing.

High seas calling

Checkout the game Esoteric Ebb if you liked Disco Elysium. It's very very similar, but closer to D&D.

Thanks for the recommendation! Will check it out

I just found out about this guy who produced and co-wrote Kung Fu Fighting and showed the picture to my mrs, and she’s like “yeah, I know him”.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biddu

Which is funny because when I lived in London I knew one of the Buggles, so it’s like everyone in London is assigned an acquaintance involved in a novelty hit song.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yep. I’m playing it right now.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

That Kung Fu fighting one is way too real I hate it so much

[–] Hudell@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago

It would feel more real to me if the previous sentence had used "everybody" Instead of "everyone", as it would then be the trigger word. But then the ADHD wouldn't even let the logic finish its sentence.

I don’t even have ADHD, I’m just here for the memes.

[–] justme@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 week ago

i keep forwarding the memes to my wife, they create a wonderful way to visualize the problems which i have troubles to articulate

I'm currently at a halloween party for my kid.

Trying to fight back tears over how relatable this is.

Pattern recognition failed its roll

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

Good summary of an average moment inside my brain.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 week ago

Yeah, that's about right.

[–] Caption_Mo@reddthat.com 6 points 1 week ago

Thanks. Now I know who to redirect the internal shouts at.
