So where do I send my bots?

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I just recommended Angine de Poitrine to someone in there, good times.

Also I’m recommending Angine de Poitrine to all of you too. A breath of fresh music air in this goddamn capitalist hellscape we’re in.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 hours ago

While i love them too i dont think AdP exist outside capitalism.

OP, this is you for real? First off, well done. It's lovely to be online without bots.

Can you tell us from a privacy perspective, what records and data you collect? I assume IP address and logs of the text. What else? Browser data? Just curious.

[–] Henryterd@feddit.online 34 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Thank you :-) - yep, it's me. no account or email. your lines are stored with your screen name and shown to people in the room for up to seven days.

a random token in your browser holds your name so nobody else can take it; it isn't tied to who you are. your IP is used for rate limits and spam and kept 7 days at most.

lines are checked by an outside moderation service before they post, and a few refused ones are kept 48 hours to tune the filter.

the bot check (Vercel) may set its own cookie. nothing is sold. full privacy page is in Help. don't put personal info in the room, anyone can read it.

The "outside moderation service" appears to be OpenAI, so the chats will be stored indefinitely.

Ugh, there's plenty of local moderation tools

Womp womp... Saved forever.

OK, well I guess I'm going to have spam the other rooms with no one in them with ChatGPT injections.

If not a/s/l, not realistic.

18/f/cali, even if the real answer starts with a 4.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

If you try to say 16/f/ca (as was the meme), the app censors it.

[–] Seralth@piefed.seralth.com 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I... Don't know how to feel about that. That makes sense but also feels awfully blasphemous to the origins of the internet.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 2 points 49 minutes ago

If it helps, part of that joke was that it should always be assumed your 16/f/ca was always 43/m, and it had a bit of an "I am Sparticus" feel to it.

On the Internet, we're all 16/f/ca.

[–] AGuyAcrossTheInternet@fedia.io 8 points 8 hours ago

I haven't been called slurs, yet. 0/10, not accurate. >:C

Hehehe, I love that you also made a bootup and desktop interface! You've done a real good job!

[–] Embargo@lemmy.zip 10 points 9 hours ago

What a cool thing! It's super chill in there.

I’m just here to fight about Windows 95 vs System 7.

[–] dorumon@lemmy.cafe 1 points 6 hours ago

I like System 7 a lot more because I have a lot more experience with it growing up and playing Shatterball.

[–] AcidBurn@retrofed.com 2 points 8 hours ago

Workbench 3.1 is clearly superior

[–] gothmog@lemmy.today 2 points 8 hours ago
[–] Dnb@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 9 hours ago

I mean it's in the domain name so not unsurprising

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago
